in the last weekI’ve had an auto pay membership for 2+ years. It seems that for awhile and more so here lately, several vacuum hoses have either been disconnected or have little to no suction. It’s very frustrating. There are brand new car washes opening up everywhere and a ‘Scrubbies’ just around the corner.Please resolve this ASAP.
7 months agoTerrible experience. First I paid for the best wash. Machine said “press yes for a discount on your next wash. Check your receipt for details”. No receipt given. Wash said there was a prewash included. Got zero prewash treatment. The soap came down in patches, completely missing parts of my car. Get home and realize there is a racing stripe of dirt down the middle of my car…..incredibly disappointed with this place.a month agoDevon was fast and friendly and even made sure I was on the plan I wanted to be on when my trial was over. The lady guiding me in was awesome and effectively communicated when I needed to correct my alignment on the conveyor. Great job team!2 months agoTerrible wash today, probably won’t be going back to this location. If it weren’t for the $10 discount code in my email, I would have complained to staff. Spinning Brush on the driver side was not functioning and the rest of the brushes did not seem to be spinning at normal speeds. Wheels were still dirty. Tons of bugs still stuck on front bumper. Free spray bottle window cleaner and several tries at different towels left smear marks all over the inside windows. Nice that the vacuums are free, but I think their is room for improvement.5 months agoLoving to see the wash open again! The new manager, Alex is doing great at getting things back in order! He took the time to explain to me exactly what I’d be getting by buying a club membership and I can say I’m completely satisfied with the service and attention to detail. Highly recommend!

in the last weekI have been a customer of the Lake St. Louis site since they originally opened. The service was generally good, but over the last several months, I’ve noticed less attention to detail during each visit. By this, I mean the hand drying process, like only doing half the windshield and half the hood or not applying tire shine.I recently bought my daughter a new car and took it here. I paid for the “Ultimate Express Wash.” Again, the worker did not dry the windows or mirrors. And guess what? There was no tire shine, but he did include a bit of rudeness.
Between all of this and the fact that I am not using the service enough to justify the price, I called them yesterday. Nobody answered the phone the first several attempts, so I left a voicemail. Someone called me back that afternoon and said that he would take care of the cancellation. Now I see that they went right ahead and charged my card on file today! I hope they enjoy the “tip” because I won’t return.
BTW: I also viewed the responses from the business owner and found most of them to be somewhat accusatory and flippant. That’s sad – I know the owner’s father and would not expect this. Customer care and response tell a lot about a company. This is especially important in a market that is in no shortage of competitors.
a month agoWe stopped in last Saturday waiting for Freddy’s to open and did one of the car washes (no detail) and it was great! Everyone was super friendly. We live about an hour north so we didn’t do the monthly package. The guy that was telling us about it wasn’t pushy about it or rude when we told him it wouldn’t be beneficial for us. I decided to give this place a shot and frankly that was a bad choice. I was met at the pay station by an employee who asked what type of wash I wanted. Despite asking for the basic wash which on the website is $5, my card was run for $10. When I exited the wash I drove a mile up the road to work and when I exited my car I notice scratches down the side of my car. I emailed the contact info with the photo and was quickly told that it wasn’t their problem and to contact my insurance company. I received a photo of their sign that exempts them from any and all liability. At no point, did the helpful employee who overcharged me for the mediocre wash point out the sign or indicate that I needed to do anything before proceeding.
This place will damage your vehicle, overcharge you and then blame you for it. Avoid this wash and save yourself the headache….unless you love scratches in your paint.
Met the new manager Johhnie, and am impressed by the changes that have taken place since he took over. The place was clean, all lanes were open, and all the equipment seemed to be operating properly.
I had been thinking about canceling my membership, but the change in management and the terrific job he’s doing, looks like I’ll be a regular customer for a long time to come. Great guy doing a fantastic job of running things.
Today I went to the Zips car wash and was greeted and assisted by a very friendly assistant manager there named Ana. She was very informative and introduced to me all of my choices and the membership that Zips offers. Her sincere assistance has convinced me to sign up for the membership the next time I go there. There was no pressure which I deeply appreciated. This young lady is going places. Great customer care and a really better car was.
