5 months agoFirst let me say that I have been a member with The Downtowner for a few years now. Loved them. Here and there they werent perfect but the job got done.Now that this has become Mr. Carwash it is by far the worst wash you could ever pay for. My car is dirtier than it was before it went through!! The vacuums fall apart while you use them and the mat cleaner does literally nothing. Going to find a self serve to clean my car now. This has got to be a joke or a front. Or just a plain scam. It’s probably dawn dish soap they are spraying on our vehicles – it sure does smell like it and leave a residue like if you did.

2 weeks agoNot the best wash. First ever wash with them and my car still has a ton of dirty spots on it. Also the wheel shine left a big gelatinous blob on my wheels. Gross! I went around for a rewash, which they did no problem, but they recommended not getting the wheel shine that time. Stopped after rewash to check things out and still my car was not fully clean. Very disappointing! If I ever use this wash again, I guess I’ll have to take drying towels just to wipe off the remaining dirty spots. Especially the wheels, they were barely clean after two consecutive washes! Positive note is helpful, friendly staff, and free vacuums!a month agoI don’t know if it’s the dirty water, soap or drying method that doesn’t work properly. Car always leaves full of stains, FULL! The rain does a better job at keeping my car free of that. I’ll give it a try for 1 month see if it gets better. If not I’ll cancel my subscriptiona year agoA pretty sad day at this car wash that I use to really like going to for our cars and dogs. Went there today and they are under new management. Right away I saw the prices increased and they are also taking tips. A tip for what taking your money and standing around doesn’t deserve a tip just saying. What’s weird is that they ask you for a tip straight up when they take your payment (Awkward). A shame for the price increase are they taking advantage or is it due to inflation 🤷🏻♀️. Anyways, some birds used my car for target practice, so I got the basic package since it wasn’t that dirty, but it didn’t even come clean. So why are they raising prices and asking for tips if the car wash doesn’t even work? I have attached pictures of my car afterwords. Won’t be going back sad to say.2 weeks agoBeware. Took my brand new vehicle through the wash and it damaged my vehicle. 300 miles and I need a new wheel. I was even told by one of the employees that this location has been having numerous maintenance issues and this sort of thing happens a lot do not use the Pine Island location. In fact, I don’t know that I would recommend Mr. car wash as a whole because I don’t expect them to make this, right

4 weeks agoIt was much better when it was the Downtowner. They replaced all of the old equipment and it just does not work as well. The staff use to take the time to pressure wash all the bugs off the front now they just spray a little soap on and send you through. Bugs remain after the wash. The plus is that they are all over FL so it makes it easy to wash my vehicles when traveling.a week agoI always go to this location and it’s the BEST! The other ones confuse me lol. But today I went through the car wash and the back of my side mirror came off and the nicest lady ever brought it back to me! I wish I got her name but she literally made my day and had a smile on her face the entire time. Awesome customer service!!a year agoI am very disappointed with my experience. I just got home from my trip to wash my car. I spent almost $27 on the premium car wash and I still have dirt on my car. The tires are horrible. For the amount of money you spend to get a car wash it should at least take the dirt off. I think I am better off hand washing it myself. Downtowner car wash at least got it clean for me. I liked that they sprayed the bugs and stuff before you went in. Spending Almost $30 for a car wash and you still have to go home and do it by hand is ridiculous.4 weeks agoUsually a great experience. Bought a new truck. Took it there after a couple of weeks to be washed. Went through the blow dryer and it pushed my roof in and left a 4in. dent. So be aware people, till they roll the force down on the dryer expect some, not all of your roofs to be popped and dented. UPDATE: use at your own risk and expect o be responsible for any damages caused by the washing and drying process. If damage is done and you go there to file a claim they will not contact you, they will slow walk the process and you will never be able to contact them via phone and you will have to make many wasted visits. The management is a joke and there is no responsibility. I encourage yall to call their headquarters regarding claims. You will never speak to anyone and you will never get an actual answer from these people. A brand new truck was dented by their dryer with less than 700 miles on it and it’s a joke.3 months agoCanceled wash club membership – monthly charges continue. No answer at local number. On hold for 27 min. with national number before giving up. Used to be good when it was family-owned Downtowner. Now just another corporate money grab with no customer service.

Had my car “washed” today, left with a big scrape mark on the passenger side along with a dirty vehicle. Bird dropping on the window still there, didnt bother to dry it off one bit, inside was barely touched, among many other areas. Saved the pictures just to remind myself never to go back. They did nothing to rectify the situation. Used to be the best car wash around now I’ll definitely my business elsewhere before I pay 40 dollars there again.
I come to Cape Coral every year. Tradition was always to use the Downtowner Car Wash after our 1200 mile drive. Today, we noticed it’s no longer the Downtowner. Super quick car wash and here’s why. They never touched the front end of the truck. Bug guts everywhere. No attempt to get behind the grille guard but this is understandable. It’s tight. But the grille guard itself is filthy. $40 for a premium car wash. My mistake? Not making sure it was done right. But that’s the last time I use them. For that, I do it myself.
Really bad experience, i pay 38 dollars for exterior wash because inside was really dirty like no vacuum or clean the window… really poor service. I looking for new car wash for next time
There was a time where no matter what time it was, there was long lines and a long wait but it was a wait that was well worth it. When it was Downtowner this place was great. The attention to detail to your vehicle was amazing. They truly were the best in the area. Now you drive by and it barely looks open. Gone are the long lines and the long wait but also gone is the good service. Now you spend more time pointing out all the dirty spots on your vehicle which is something that you shouldn’t have to do when your pay $40 for a wash. It’s such a shame how down hill this place went when it was sold to Mister.
$50 (including $10 tip) for full service, but windows were left uncleaned, cup holders still dirty and trunk left not vacuumed. Very disappointing and total waste of money. Service was amazing when it was downtowner car wash.
