- Reviews:I shop here because it’s close to my house but when I need hardware / tools I go to the other CTC on Ottawa because this one has everything locked down like it’s Fort Knox and it is such a pain to find someone to get it and then they stand there while you look at it deciding if you want it. The other things I do not like about this store is the people who want to sell you a credit card in the main aisle (I walk the long way around to avoid) and the fact that they still have the little doors on the cashier aisles that are locked so you can’t leave if you didn’t buy anything (so you have sneak through at the Customer Service desk). There will be no persons in the desk .. changed my Winter tire to summer tire .. when got the key TPMS light was on .. they said drive for 50km if the light is ON they asked to comeback.. when I came back they were rude and asked me to take an appointment.. and I asked to do retorque for that also very vague response .. It is always best to go to the corresponding car manufacturer dealer to fix things than going to Canadian tire .. I was there getting my flat tire looked at. I was pleased with the service they provided in the auto department. Although they did not find the second nail that was very tiny to see, they found it a second time around when I brought it back. Transactions between customer and service provider wad pleasantly traded. So long as you aren’t losing your cool, everything was smooth with time, patience, and understanding, that’s all that’s required to get any problems solved.
I guess with the thousands of great reviews about Canadian Tire I don’t need to put my review on much detail. Our family trust this place a lot. Their available selection of almost everything was remarkable. The staff were excellent and the prices were alright as well.
Just stopped in for a simple fix job on a rear wiper blade, and the Auto Shop Team was amazing. This was a simple fix and they could’ve easily passed me on to another shop or area, but without any hesitation they did the work (very professional and did it well). On top of that they didn’t even charge out of courtesy. Very impressed and great team in there…thank you!
Went to shop for some car detailing items and great deals are to be had on buffing rags, waxes and detailing sprays.
I usually purchase Chemical guys for car shampoos and waxes.
The butter wax works best for me as it reduces buffing and spreads evenly. It also smells great for a wax.
Downside most days on this location is the check out. Cashier ratio to customers need to be reviewed.
Other than that, place is usually stocked and clean. Fries, hotdogs and sausages are also available outside the store where you exit. Nice set up.
I took my car into the Service center to have a headlight changed. They changed the bulb and said it wouldn’t work. Told me it was electrical and would cost $125 per hour until they found the issue. I declined and took my car to another mechanic. They replaced the bulb with no issue. Canadian tire charged me fir the bulb and labour even though they didn’t fix the issue. I will not be returning to Canadian Tire.
