Almost 5 steps into the store, the security person busy reading something tells me from behind to deposit my back pack at customer service. Walking through the aisles to go to customer service now, another sales person lady asks from behind same thing asks me if I was looking for something and walks me over to customer service. By this time, I just didn’t want to shop no more and rather preferred to leave, really I was enroute to file my taxes with HR Block next door and had my backpack with all my documents, I didn’t come to shoplift with all your obvious cameras and digital radars. Felt like so with the approach of your team members! Now the 3rd sales person at customer desk shows me the sign behind of the backpack policy and says a loud Thank you as I leave! Woof I came to buy a drain opener and left with the most nasty service experience. Tone of voice & approach of your team members needs some polishing! I suggest checking stock levels on the website before going. If it says less than 3 in stock, assume its not available. There are staff at this location that I will avoid when I can due to the fact that they seem to hate their jobs and it comes across when they are serving customers. She was able to accept payment via email as I’m not local. My only issue is the price of the quote given by Canadian tire for a new alternator, battery and labour was $2,500. I have had the job completed by a reliable mechanic for under $1000. When I didn’t accept the quote, dear Angie was very approachable to my organised next steps. Had my truck towed here because it was the closest mechanic and I thought it was going to be a simple fix. Turned out the problem was much more complex than initially thought, but the Canadian Tire sales team is better with their words than with their tools and kept convincing me they could handle it. Turns out they couldn’t….and even after tracking down the necessary parts for them, the person who was dealing with my truck went on leave, my truck was forgotten about, and the only way of getting a hold of the service department was by calling housewares, asking for a manager, and having that one helpful employee bring the phone to the auto service department so I could figure out what was going on with my truck. After a month and a half, where all they had done was dropped my fuel tank, realized parts were difficult to track down, and let me battery freeze, I eventually had my truck towed to Lannon Automotive, a shop with exceptional service and skill, and my truck was fixed within two weeks (and it only took that long because they had other vehicles booked in ahead of me and I was basically just showing up!). Never taking a vehicle to Canadian Tire again.
Brought my truck (2011 gmc Sierra 1500, 4.8L) to the auto Center for a scan/diagnostics and injector service, the technician immediately diagnosed the problem with fuel trim. Truck was fixed that day and hasn’t fired up this well in years! Excellent work
Every single time I shop here the older women working in customer service are incredibly rude, regardless of how polite and courteous we are to them. Yesterday we spent over $100 on balloons for our daughter to wake up too on her birthday today and many of the balloons were not filled up properly with enough helium to float longer than two hours after getting home with them yesterday. When we were leaving with the balloon bouquets, we were aggressively confronted and yelled at by a Canadian Tire customer service employee, accusing us that we did not pay for them. There was a woman at the front door collecting money for breast cancer that had to step in to tell her that she saw us pay for them. Who steals big bouquets of floating balloons? It’s absurd. My wife and I are upstanding people that would never steal anything, let alone look anything like people that would. This location and its terrible customer service employees are awful. The Canadian Tire company and managers of this location should be absolutely ashamed.
Our bus broke down during a Rocky Mountains Tour with 22 teenagers on our way back to Squamish! Although they didn’t have the parts in stock given the age of the bus, Nick in the auto parts department was amazing! I bet he could tell how frantic I was after legging it up the hill from Aberdeen Mall. He called around to other stores and then helped call a tow truck and arrange a same day appointment at the dealership! He saved us a lot of trouble and we got to continue our tour on our own bus within 3.5hours because of him!

Good, clean store. They’ve packed a lot into this store so the aisles are narrow and you can feel a bit boxed in. Nonetheless, the staff were great and very helpful and the location is easy to access. Highly recommend their new rewards program by the way… Got everything that I needed to pick up. There is ample parking here and an electric charging station as well.
