If you go off hours you might be ok, otherwise this will be torture, they speed everyone through on a busy day, do a horrible job actually getting cars clean and inevitably I’ll get a response from an owner apologizing with an inability to actually do a better job getting cars clean, also when busy the vacuums are nearly inaccessible and when you exit, and notice how poorly the wash was you are completely discouraged to get it rewashed and don’t want to wait in the long line again… It’s a No for me Dogg…
Me cars are all only a year or two old, and I have a membership, because I need to wash often but I’m almost always annoyed at the results here..
I usually go here every week to get a wash but yesterday I went there and it was moderately busy however there was an incident inside the tunnel where the belt kept rolling my car forwards and accidentally hit the car in front of me and now I have a dent on my front grille and so now I’m gonna have to buy a new one. So idk, I might have to go somewhere else now – not only that, but drop unnecessary money on my car because of this.
We have tried several car washes in the area, but have chosen this location as our top pick for clean, quality equipment and effective washes. The part that puts it over the top for us though, is the service! Andy is an excellent representative of great service and will help you with whatever you need. Too expensive and no way to get out once you pull in. For the price I was forced to pay I would expect some sort of beverage or happy ending, maybe even a complimentary carnitas taco(with less cilantro than most people prefer) I fully understand the concept of street tacos and don’t get me wrong they are good but. It takes time to slow roast pork to perfection. If you rush the process the enzymes in the meat produce an undesirable chewy carnitas. Then top that off with the street fixings of onion and cilantro and bwammola. You have a perfect taco(minus the 70% cilantro on top). All I’m saying is it’s just too much cilantro some times, you can easily just put the perfect amount of meat and Taqueria accoutrements on the taco and have it look just as good without me having to throw out a pile cilantro.. Also did not clean my vehicle. Won’t be back to this spot.
They have several locations which makes this a very convenient car wash to sign up for. This location is one of the newer ones, but it is also at the corner of a busy intersection. That’s the reason why it has a right turn exit only, which is away from the intersection, but the majority of customers turn left instead, towards the intersection where only about 3 cars can fit in front of the traffic light. This builds up even more traffic, and causes the tunnel to need to shut down temporarily, slowing things down even further. When it is busy like this, it takes about 10 minutes from the entrance to get through the car wash just once.
There are two lanes that merged into a single lane after payment. When it is busy, sometimes the washes get mixed up, and you don’t get what you pay for. I often end up with an express wash or other wash that is cheaper than what I actually paid for and need to ask them to correct it. Most of the time, they do. A couple of times, the wash got messed up again by the time I got through again, but I’ve never had them give me an issue about it.
The car wash lasts about a minute. The car wash cleans the car thoroughly most of the time. Sometimes, I need to go through a second time if there is stubborn buildup, or I may need to wipe off stains by hand before going through again. The cleaning cloths and jets only wash from the top, front, and sides. Nothing appears to wash from the back. This means if your vehicle has any spaces that block cleaning from the front, top, or sides, it will not be as clean, such as the rear side of the car.
The air dry at the end of the wash lasts about 10 seconds and it is not enough to blow away all the water. I always leave with drops on the mirrors, sides, and rear of my vehicle. If these are wiped off or blown off from driving, they turn into white stains as they dry. They do however provide drop clothes, which are available most of the time. Additionally, there are litter bags and complementary snack sized pretzels when available.
There are six vacuum spaces, which are free for members and work well enough, except they can also get crowded since there is no other space to wipe off your car.
Overall, acceptable, and understandable given limited space in the city.
