a month agoDo not go here! Car washes are average here at best, and don’t even try canceling your service. Just expect to be charged forever, as they are way too understaffed at EVERY LUBBOCK LOCATION and NO ONE will get back to you. I have PROOF that I cancelled my service over a month ago and they somehow have enough staff to run my card every day for the last five days to charge me for another month, but yet NO ONE can get back to me to cancel my service, even after we have made multiple cancellation and contact attempts. I wish I could say it was just one location, but we have went to AND called all of them in Lubbock! Go to Mighty Wash (I will be posting this on ALL racer car wash pages as all of them are a problem).2 months agoBeware: Take 5 has bought out the Racer Car Wash locations and has already ruined the brand, just like they ruined the Bolton Oil Change locations. They got rid of all of the mystery specials whenever you drive up. They no longer have people drying your vehicle after your wash. No more hand-applied tire shine. They don’t maintain their vacuums. They no longer honor rain checks for all washes. Their customer service is junk now. And to top it off, they had the audacity to raise their prices while simultaneously decimating their service quality. I highly advise anybody to stay away from this place while Take 5 owns it. Additionally, I highly advise anybody to stay far away from any Take 5 locations as they do a terrible job with their oil changes and are now showing how terrible they are at running car washes.a month agoIf I could rate this zero stars I would. For the price I paid I did not get the right wash, nobody dried my car after it was done, I now have many water spots on my car. I sat for a good 10 minutes before someone came and helped me because the machine wouldn’t take my card. Nobody pre-rinsed my car before going into the wash. I would save your money and go somewhere else. This is the worst car wash to take your car to !!!!3 weeks agoHad a great experience with the Site Manager Payton, who sold me the Pro5 Wash, and it did not disappoint. He even went above and beyond to help me with drying my truck! Great customer service3 months agoTook my Jeep to be washed on Milwaukee and noticed there was no one there to dry off the Jeep and the windows for water spots , went around and talked to an employee and asked why there wasn’t anyone to towel dry the Jeep and they said take 5 took over classic car wash and I told them so I am paying 40.00 for a wash and water spots. Well I am taking my business to mighty wash where they continue to do the towel drying , take 5 sucks at oil changing and now car washing, I definitely will spread the word… finish my month pass and taking my business else where , because Take 5 doesn’t care about customer service.

Vacuums were up front rather than after your wash. They did a good job.2 months agoThankfully, I didn’t pay for my membership, and it came free for a year with my car. In the beginning, Racer was always great quality, but the last several months that has gone from great to abysmal. The wash is mediocre at best (the dryer only worked on one side, so left the car with spots all the way down). Customer service is usually pretty good, but they are painfully understaffed, so the one or two people on shift are having to run back and forth to do all the things. The vacuums at ALL locations are so inconsistent, but more often than not they don’t work well, if at all. Now, with the fact they are stopping hand drying as well, I will be on the lookout for a new carwash when my membership expires.11 months agoTook my SUV to try Racer Classic Car Wash, for the very first time. Very well organized car wash on 50th st. The workers very professional polite. The wash was more to my satisfaction, I went home and took my wife SUV for the same treatment, the wash on both SUV left as thou I just bought them from the dealership

Upon arrival I wanted to use a coupon that I had. The person working the window had to go inside and get the nessary paperwork, had to leave my info with them and after I got my wash I received what I needed. When I entered the car wash area the attendant seemed like they didn’t want to be there. I was expecting for them to use a soap and a brush as other locations have. That didn’t happen. There were only two attendants on duty. So there was no towel drying as advertised! Just seems like these car washes are really going down the quality is not great. Not sure if I’ll be returning after my month is up
I absolutely love this place! I enjoy being able to access the vacuums for a quick clean up even when not getting a wash. They also offer cleaning supplies when I don’t have my own. Management and staff are super friendly and helpful.
Amazing wash after a trip an vehicle covered in bugs, the best part you can hand dry your own vehicle with complimentary glass cleaner and interior cleaner. That definitely deserves a 5 star! The cashier Kaden came out made sure had plenty and gave me freshener for my car thanks Kaden.
The employee working by himself on 8/22/23 at 11am did a great job at prep and was extremely nice as he gave me a free air freshener while I was drying my car. This employee was great and deserves a raise!
This car wash used to provide quality service, that is no longer the case. Under new ownership, the service has gone downhill. There is no longer a hand dry, towels, or tire shine and there is no point to pay for a wash here.
Vehicles that leave the wash tunnel are not clean. The wash process leaves streaks, watermarks, and spots. If you are a member of a wash plan, the cancellation process is anything but simple. It took around a month to get a confirmed membership cancellation. Should an individual attempt to call a location, they are either placed on an endless hold or transferred to a remote operator.
