  1. This is really an excellent park overall. The hiking trails are well marked and taken care of. The park itself offers several places to bring a lunch and spend the day. The playground is fairly large and even on busy days doesn’t feel crowded. You can bring your dogs and walk the trial or use the dog park which is gated. This is also the home of Greenville Little League.

I enjoy walking the trails in the morning and spending the day with the family on the weekends.

  2. Wonderful place, great walks along several trails in the Preserve, with some sections paved, some having boardwalks and others – natural surface. Beautiful trees, plenty of aquatic plants, wildflowers, various birds, butterflies (but beware of snakes – we saw a young copperhead in the middle of the paved path!). Birds chirping, toads croaking, even roosters crowing in a distance – nature lover’s dream place! Can be accessed (free) at several places, but Conestee Park area adjacent to the Preserve is probably the most convenient one: ample parking, playgrounds, pavilions, restrooms, water fountains and trailheads of a number of trails going into the Preserve.

  3. Love this park. It’s like a buy one get two free deal. Walking area ✓,playground ✓ bathroom ✓, lots of parking ✓. May see some cool animals/bugs. Beautiful sunsets and meet lots of pups ✓.
Lots of trails to walk on, ranging from small distances to i believe just over 2 miles.

  4. Lovely swampy boardwalk stroll. Was fun to see even on this chilly autumn day. The nearby park has lots of picnic tables under a large pavilion, as well as a playground and a dog park. Really nice area.

  5. I love going here and hiking the different trails. There are asphalt trails, there are dirt trails, there are boardwalk over swamp trails. There’s tons of wildlife and birds and things. The trails are well maintained and somewhat easy to navigate (follow the blaze). There is a bamboo forest type of thing. They hold lots of events here all the time. It’s very much worth contributing to the park. I mean they have a beer tasting festival every year, wine trail hikes, night time, dinner and wine events and then all kinds of other events throughout the rest of the year. There are baseball parks and stuff as well. Very nice!

One of my favorite parks in the area if I am not trying to play disc golf. They have a volleyball court and playground. Great park for afternoon picnics with the family or afternoon walks around the asphalt path. The loop is a nice walk with a pond on the bottom side of the park and plenty of open grass for frisbee or football. 10/10.

Very safe park with nice amenities. They have a grill and gazebo area, a playground, a sand volleyball court, bike racks, streams, a pond, and plenty of tree cover. The only main thing they’re lacking is a basketball court, though, knowing the people who live round here, nobody can probably dripple more than two feet anyways. There is also a free books post, thought it is fairly deprecated. The water fountain is also deprecated in this area as well.

Lovely park with two different playgrounds, several swing sets, rope climbing apparatus, water features and fountains. Loads of trees and open grass space. Also a covered bathroom area. It’s a good location near Woodruff Rd, Laurens Rd, and Haywood Mall. My child loves playing here!

Legacy Park is a beautifully hidden piece of nature between Verdae boulevard and Woodruff Road. It has nice walking paths that follow the rolling hills of manicured grass. Lots of large trees dot the park with shade. If you want to stop and take in the view, benches and swings can be found scattered through out the area. At one end of the park is a duck pond, while the other has a large playground and bathrooms. It’s a great place to get away from the busyness of the day and relax.

I read online that this park was made to imitate New York’s central park. An oasis in the middle of a busy place. As someone who moved here from NYC 4 years ago, I was intrigued. Set very close to Woodruff and Haywood roads, I had no idea that this beautiful escape was hiding in the middle of the busyness of the world, similar to Central Park. Plenty of sun and shade, water features and rolling hills, beautiful paths and places to sit and relax. Such a wonderful place to just take a break. Watch the sky, the fountains, feel the breeze and the sun, see people of all ages (and their canine friends) enjoy what the park has to offer. I must admit that I only saw a small corner of the park. I set up in my camp chair under some trees at one end of the park. But I was utterly amazed. What a great place to spend a beautiful Saturday.

Great dog spot for the pups! Small and large dog separated areas. Next door is a kids playground and pavilion area. They had previous toys available for our pooches and fresh water was available. Plenty of shaded tree spots on those warm summer days and benches available for pet owners. Worth a stop!

Nice park in general. Good hiking trails on the river. The dog park obviously gets a lot of use. Good crowd on a Sunday at about noon.

Nice shaded facility with a few places to sit. Park is also connected to some beautiful trails to spend a day walking through the woods.

Great park to let pups run. Little to no grass makes for a dusty muddy mess. The surrounding trails including the lake trails are excellent for leash walks.

Great place! Small park and big park for your dogs size. Clean. Good running room, water as well.
