- Reviews:A picturesque off the leash area for dogs to cool off. Be sure your dog is trained to be off the leash as this area has no fencing and opens in to the park in general. This place also has a couple of benches for you to sit while your furry friend enjoys a swimBy Anindita Mondal (6 months ago)A great spot for dogs to cool off. Very pretty and plenty of space. This area is NOT enclosed. If your dog runs off (like mine) you need to be constantly be on watch/ stand on the edge.By MacKinsey Mitchell (10 months ago)Beautiful park. Especially in the fall. It’s got designated bbq areas, public bathrooms, kids playground, off leash dog walking areas during certain hours of the day, picnic tables, even a little dog water area for those water loving labs and goldens! It’s also got a running/walking trail and a biking trail as well. Great park!By F C (6 months ago)The dog beach is a great spot for all dogs – those who are trained to be off leash and on leash. The beach itself is not very large but there is usually a pretty consistently flow of dogs coming and going to interact with. It has benches and the lake is not too deep.By Sidney Hong (a year ago)When I am out of the city and people ask how I have a dog, prospect park dog run is how I answer. My dog, Opie, has grown up here, been socialized here, and more.If for some insane reason you have a dog that plays well with others but you haven’t been here , Ya Gotta come during their off leash hours.By Anny Tereza Da Silva Monteiro (2 months ago)

- Reviews:Great dog park with lots of space for running and playing. Everyone was friendly and so were the pups. Keep an eye on your dog, it can get easy to get caught up in conversation with fellow fur baby parents. Water fountains available and hoses. Didn’t see any disposal bags around. Pretty good parking if you drive here.By Rachel A. (5 months ago)This is a good dog park- it’s very large and spacious. For Brooklyn, It’s a wonderful space to give our pups excersice, enrichment, and fun to stretch their adorable toe beans. However, people tend to lack control of their dogs. It’s a lot of unregulated play and irresponsible owners. As a dog handler, I feel that if you are taking your dog to the park to play, you should be educated in general dog behavior as well as have basic obedience level training for your dog. Many owners here cannot even recall their dog properly. If you’re gonna take your dog here, I would recommend going at a less busy time.By Caitlyn Pacifico (3 months ago)This is the best dog park I have been to so far. Tons of grass and sand for dogs to around in. Perfect place to get your dog a good work out. There is also a few trees for shade and very clean. The people are generally nice and the dogs too. I highly recommend this dog park.By Daniel Zide (4 years ago)Great spot to take your dogs to run around – my girl always has a great time running around and making friends. There’s a pretty large amount of space so different groups of dogs can choose where they wanna play. All the people and dogs I’ve seen there have been super friendly and respectful.By Noam Swisa (4 years ago)My puppy had such a great time here and it was his first visit he got along with everyone and we will be going back .By Bernice Russo (2 years ago)

Place is pretty awesome. Dog park, basketball, tennis, baseball, amphitheater, kids playground the works. It’s clean, families are ALWAYS there hanging out. Plenty of good people and great dogs. It’s safe, pretty flowers; looking for a great place to take the kids? Go here.
Pup absolutely loves playing here. It’s just grass, dirt and a couple benches but all dogs want to do is to run around and it serves the purpose. There’s a division (separated by a small fence) for small dogs to be separated from the bigger ones. It does get muddy when it rains but that’s just another thing dogs love so it’s all good. I sometimes wish it was a bit bigger but that’s just me being greedy with space.
It’s a spacious neighborhood park that has sprinklers and a play area for the kids. There’s a designated BBQ area, a handball court, a baseball field, dog park and outdoor arena. The recreation center has reopened. I’m not sure if there’s a public restroom. The perimeter has been cleaned up. Also, there’s usually a mobile unit for Covid testing parked outside.
Park is improving every year. Feels very friendly and safe. Clean despite a dog park . Several kids play structures.
very dangerous park, do not bring your dog here. Over just a couple of years I’ve witnessed countless dog attacks which could have been avoided had the owners been paying attention instead of on their phone or busy in conversation. I’ve seen countless dogs in brutal, bloody fights. After which, the owners get defensive and unapologetic. There’s a complete loss of decorum and basic human kindness.
