- Reviews:Went to get my newly painted (cured for ~8 days) rims installed. When I went to pick them up they mentioned there was a little paint that had come off due to the paint being still fairly fresh and the machine. I am a reasonable person and I understood that there could be slight damage because of this. However, the extent of damage to one of my rims far surpasses “a couple scratches”… It is important to note that every other rim has some slight scratches and I understand that and I am fine with that. But they absolutely butchered one of my rims. If it was just the machine then all of these should have turned out like that, yet only one is damaged to such an extent….By jacob h (8 months ago)Wicked service; only place in Victoria that had speed type ‘T’ tires to change out. Had a damaged and flat tire, and this was the ONLY place in Victoria capable of changing out my tire within a reasonable time, and within budget. I’m an Electrical apprentice currently in school living off an apprentice EI budget; so the affordability and quick service was amazing. I would recommend 100% Big O tires for tire services; Mr. Lube used to be my go-to, but I’m changing my tires needs to Big O from now on. EDIT UPDATE: Recently had to change out tires on both my car and my wife’s car as well. We both work in trade industries so these things will happen for screws wedged into the tire tracks. Mr. Lube said they couldn’t patch my wife’s tire; and tried to guilt her into a new pair of front tires. I took her into Big O and they patched it no problem. DON’T GO TO MR. LUBE! Big O are actually about the customers; their service is fantastic and they don’t BS their clients. This is the place to go for your tire needs, and they have a second location for automotive repairs as well now. Skip Mr. Lube and go here instead. He had just paid $61.00 for his oil change with 40 point inspection. So I went to the View Royal CT 10 days after his and was charged $84.00 for the same service. That is 38% more than he paid. Worked for about 2 hours and stopped turning the disc. The clerk at the store could see it was still new, but because of its age they would do nothing to help. Not even a stipend offering to help offset a new one. I realize they are simply following the rules, but this was a little over the top in rejection. Given it is a Canadian tire exclusive product, it would seem such a large franchise could help out the little guy. What a difference in service. This Canadian tirer offered me options and why they policy’s. This helped me to fix my problem of removing my battery. I find it difficult not being mechanical incline. At least with options I can solve my issues. And I had the manager look bill and made an adjustment to my bill giving me my $20.00 dollars back for returning my battery. I wanted to share my experience. I was shopping for work and rarely go to this location. Bill was there and was an absolute joy . Bill helped me come up with a solution for a problem I had. Also suggested a few items I had not thought of. Was the best service I had had in a long time. This in a world is short staffed businesses. He went above and beyond. I especially like the fact he was beaning when he proudly said he had been with Canadian tire for over 40 years! A true asset .
Just bought a our dream house! And have been going to Canadian Tire to stock up on garden supplies, and outdoor decor. Happily just returned all my seeds, seed starting soil to this location as the manager wouldn’t price match 8 seed starting trays, while their website says they do price match. Manager couldn’t pull what he stated up however and just told me over and over to “keep reading”. I, ofcourse, was able to pull up where the website did say they price matched. Hilariously, we just put an order in for almost $10,000 worth of outdoor furniture and I am going to get great pleasure canceling my order on Tuesday. I’ll gladly tell head office why I’ll no longer be shopping at Canadian Tire. Hope it was worth 8 bucks Mr Manager!!
I love this store! The old guy greeting is the one of the best going, sometime works at returns too. Haven’t seen him in a while, hope he’s doing well. Anyhow today I was notified by my company that I didn’t hand in a receipt for a charge on my company CC. Shoot I thought, I am very particular about these things. Anyhow I thought well try calling the store and see what they can do. Their automated phone system is very good BTW. I pressed the number I needed got a really nice lady named Janice and told her my issue. Bang, she had the receipt emailed to me before I hung up the phone. Outstanding service! Thank you, Janice and all the other great people who work at this store.
I desperately needed a lawnmower. I went to the service desk to inquire if it could be assembled. I dealt with 2 employees, unfortunately I didn’t get their names. They made it happen within an hour. Exceptional service. This was yesterday at approximately noon. Please give them a huge raise!
Store itself is great, clean and well laid out with its second floor. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Giving it 3/5 due to inaccurate inventory. I have been there 3 times now where the website and local inventory tracker shows “2” items in stock, yet come to find out after getting help from staff that it was incorrect and actually 0 items in stock…
