- Reviews:Be careful people take aggressive dogs to the park! This woman took 2 mean dogs and one of them bit ours. Refused to take responsibility and still takes the dogs to the park. She wouldn’t exchange information either. If your dog “is old and grumpy around other dogs”, don’t bring it. Dog parks are for socialized dogs that like to play. A lady with a biscuit acres shirt on approached us very rudely “suggesting” we take our (30 pound) dog that’s been playing with larger dogs her whole life to the small dog area because she doesn’t want to see a fight break out . Our dog not once caused any fights and was getting along with every dog her own size or larger. She did not once acknowledge the dogs that were aggressive but instead targeted our dog. What a great park, with rules, that it appeared most where following. It was a great time and highly recommend. If you have children under 12, dogs not fixed, or an aggressive dog. Don’t be surprised if you get asked to leave. - Reviews:This is a great dog run. It’s right off of highway 412 if you are traveling. It has to runs for small dogs and big dogs. It also has panic tables, doggy water fountain, and usually some toys. It does lack in equipment for dogs to be trained on if you are looking for that. Very good experience, lots of shade for owners. Only thing I would change is how much water there is. They have this great, low set, always running water fountain that my dog likes but it’s kind of far away from human seating areas, and I had to walk my dog over there when I saw him start to overly pant. There’s also full buckets everywhere and 3 kiddie pools full of water but my dog is picky and likes the running water. All the dogs were friendly and cute, and I didn’t see any discrimination against my dog which is what I’m scared of (he has cropped ears and a pit face so if anything happens it’s all over for him compared to a lab, for example) but both the people and dogs were kind to him and he had a fun time. They have a small dog area n a large dog area which is nice, I’m always worried my big guy would hurt a little one by accident. Hunter park is beautiful & was selected by our nephew to host our family reunion in Tulsa. It was a great selection! Hunter Park provided a pavilion, nearby rest rooms, playground equipment, open area for annual horseshoe tournament to meet all of our family’s (60-75 people) needs. The public restrooms were clean. There were sufficient tables, benches, ledges to accomodate our group. Everyone was satisfied and had a terrific time.
One of our favorite playgrounds in Tulsa, fun equipment for little kids (toddlers/preschoolers) and somewhat bigger kids (ages 6-8). 1 baby swing and a few normal swings. Center pavilion with benches (no picnic tables) is very close to all play areas and the splash pad. Side pavilion with picnic tables is closest to the little kid play area. The big netted sphere spins and has 2 levels for kids to climb, very fun. Park also includes a lot of exercise equipment for adults (weights, elliptical, pull up bar, etc) and even 2 wheelchair accessible weights stations. Disc golf course. Huge nice dog park, fenced with double gates, several separately fenced areas, lots of shaded benches inside.
The kids had a great time and I can’t wait to go back and play the disk golf course! Clean 🚻!
Great spot in the community. Large picnic pavilion within direct eyesight of playground and splash pad. Community fishing pond and spacious dog park are both close to the parking lot with easy walking trails close to everything. Large wooded disc golf course does come up right by some of the walking trails. Look alive for rogue discs!
Quiet, safe and peaceful place to go. Short drive and not crowded. They have a few decks built out onto the water so there are places to stand, sit, put your pole, etc. All you need is your pole and tackle box. It was a nice surprise since I didn’t bring any chairs. The playgrounds, dog park and other areas are nice and kept up well.
