- Reviews:We had an excellent time at Unleashed. This was our first time visiting with our two dogs. The registration process was easy. All dogs need proof of vaccines. The “bouncers” were attentive to the pups, especially as new dogs came through the gate, and they redirected dogs as needed. We just had a few snacky things off the menu, but all we tried was delicious. The patio area is very nice. Our dogs loved meeting new friends and playing. We will definitely recommend and be back!By Mandy Endorf (9 months ago)This place has become our weekly hangout spot. From the employees, the human customers and the doggy customers- everyone is so friendly and welcoming. We love seeing the smiles on humans and dogs alike who are genuinely happy and enjoying each other’s company. It’s a simple yet genius concept. The tap beer selection and food is great! But we keep coming back for the fun environment. We even decided to invest in the annual pass and are looking forward to using it!By April Doering (2 months ago)We brought our dog to Unleashed for the very first time last night and she had a BLAST! She can be a little more reserved with new people, and the staff were wonderful with her. She is also a known poo eater 🥴 and the staff was totally on top of any accidents that dogs had. It was incredibly clean! She had such a good time with the other dogs and us humans were able to enjoy a nice beverage while she wore herself out playing. 100% recommend! Only suggestion I have for future visitors is to park in the well-lit area next to the building. If you can avoid it, don’t park in the lot across the street under the overpass – our car was broken in to while we were inside!By McCleod Nielsen (a year ago)We’ve been going to Unleashed for over a year and can’t recommend it enough, especially when it’s too cold out (although it’s also great in summer when the beer garden is open!). Bruce, our 3 yo Goldendoodle, loves his time there and has made some great friends. Food’s very good, beer range is great, staff are always super lovely and create a safe space for your puppers to play. Highly recommend!By Cameron King (a year ago)This is a great place to hang out with the dogs, have some good food, and good beer. We go as often as we can and love that all the dogs have to be up to date with shots and registered. It’s also really great that staff are there to make sure dogs can get along and clean up messes so folks can relax and eat. Winter inside or summer out on the patio, it’s a wonderful experience.By Avery Hildebrand (a year ago)

- Reviews:I take my son and his dog here. It is pretty obvious I have a pitbull. He’s very welcome here. I have never had any problems, people and dogs are very friendly. This is probably one of my favorite dog parks in Minneapolis. There is an off-leash dog park and a leash dog park. There is ample space for your dog to run and socialize with other dogs. Again most people here I have met are extremely friendly regardless of breed. There is water available most of the time and the place is pretty darn clean. Highly recommend this place.By Leika Schmidt (8 months ago)Large area for dogs to run. There are wood chips in the extra muddy spots which is nice. The birdhouses are so cute and whimsical! This is close to the get down coffee company which is fantastic, check it out!!By Lilly Homstad (a year ago)While visiting friends in Crystal, I discovered this wonderful off leash dog “recreation area.” I love the little huts built by dog owners. I wish I could get Fort Collins to develop a recreation area versus a dog park (usually over crowded). Photos of my dogs after a visit to the Victory Prairie!By Ann Leviton (a year ago)Wonderful area to let the dogs run off energy, very friendly community of dogs and humans. Really muddy right now and some people did not pick up after their dogs but most are very respectful. On leash area and off leash area:) it’s my dog Frankie’s favorite and he is a 6lb pomeranian and his best friend Disco!By Amy Deierling (3 years ago)I call this park ‘Bird House Park’ because of all the houses hung in the trees by visitors. The park is medium sized and upkept well.By Heather Moenck (3 months ago)

The best dog park that we have ever been to! We are from out from town, but were happy that we could still bring our dogs here. You have to buy a permit online which costs $5 per dog per day, but that was pretty easy to do. You don’t have to print this off, which can be a huge hassle when travelling. The park itself is gorgeous, and also huge! Plenty of walking trails through the woods to explore with a ton of off leash areas. There is also an area by the water where dogs are able to splash around. Lots of friendly dog owners around who were able to point us in the right directions. Do not skip this place if you have dogs! It is well worth the drive and the small fee.
Water dogs love this dog park! High water in the spring and thin ice in winter, but during the summer months a great place for dogs to cool off and owners to hang out along the shoreline.
This park is huge and wonderful and not the one for a new pup or foster. It could be a nightmare for an owner with a dog with poor recall. Otherwise, it is fantastic. Access to the Mississippi and trails. Watch out that the canopy is dense enough in places for it to get quite dark even before dusk. Mixed terrain. Uneven stairs made of stone and earth before you get to the river. Supportive shoes and a present mind is best. Trash cans available near the entrance. Picking up your pup’s poop is still the culture in this huge park as well. Makes it enjoyable for all of us.
Absolute favorite dog park in MSP area. Huge unleashed area with tons of different intersecting trails and a beach along the river. Beautiful hike! It’s so nice to have a park where both me and my dog get to exercise a bit!
Parking can be a bit of a bother during busy times, but there are enough streets in the area (both paid and unpaid) that you’ll always be able to find something, you might just have to walk a couple of blocks.
Also make sure you have the Minneapolis Parks dog permit! I’ve seen them checking for it the on the weekend.
Love this place & can’t wait to see it in the snow 🙂
Seriously one of my favorite places to take my dog! One of the few places I take him actually – we are originally from Oregon and river swimming was our thing – so coming here and finding this HUGE (seriously-it’s huge) wooded off leash area that also border the river, and offering nature trails that wind up down and sideways, I feel like I’m back home in Oregon sometimes. A little Pacific Northwest vibe here in the upper mid west! Such a great dog park!
