But they have only improved it since then! Awesome playground for the kids, super nice running and walking trails, water access at the little creek. We went trekking and absolutely loved the nature trial, there is also a parallel trial for cycling, which we used for walking when our legs were tired of walking on uneven surfaces along the nature trial. The woods were a great respite, felt energetic even after walking 8K steps (half trial around the lake until the botanical gardens, we caught an Uber to get back to our parking lot). Will head back before it’s end of spring and complete a full trial around the lake.
This place is wonderful. I can’t believe that I have lived in Fayetteville for this long and never been here. The lodge has bike, boat, and kayak rentals and has great “summer camp” vibes. My favorite part is the bridge because it overlooks a beautiful man made waterfall that flows into a very natural river. Do yourself a favor and check it out on a nice day!
The park is gorgeous throughout every season and we love to ride our bikes around the full loop. Near the west side of the lake is a great place to rent kayaks and other outdoorsy things, as well as grab a snack of pizza or ice cream. Such an amazing asset along the excellent NWA trail system.
Had so much fun here today with the family! Met some nice people, found a new way I haven’t been before, and saw things I haven’t seen! ❤️❤️ love that I’ve been coming here for so long and still see new stuff every visit! ❤️
We had a great time waking the loop around the lake. It was nice and shaded and the scenery is beautiful. We’d go back for sure!
