  1. I’ve been to a lot of dog parks in a lot of states. This dog park is by far the most interesting. Todd has done a lot of work and there are a lot of stories behind each piece. If you and your dog are on the southside of Chicago and want a place to play, just Google Jackson Bark. You won’t be disappointed.

  2. Used to be fenced in tennis courts.
Now it’s like an obstacle course for your dog. It’s pretty fun and unique. Definitely a creative park unlike any other in Chicago.
It’s community maintained and welcoming to all sized pups.
Last I saw they added a mini water park and a diy dog bath out of blue recycle bins. Pretty cool!

  3. The best dog park in Chicago, no contest. We love taking our girl to play here and jump on all the fun equipment. The park is huge, so there’s always space for plenty of dogs to run around. Owners and their dogs are nice, and a first aid kit is available as well as hand sanitizer and a washing station. This spot is a DREAM

  4. An ABSOLUTE staple serving the south side of Chicago. It is incredibly well-kept, thanks to the manager volunteering his time & passion, along with great upkeep from fellow good citizens/dog owners. I love chatting with fellow visitors as our dogs run in the huge space and play on the many park elements. Eternally grateful for this space and community.

  5. I absolutely love this hidden treasure. My furbabies love it. Wonderful activities and fresh water. Poop bags available. Friendly people. A few places to sit and relax while the dogs play. Very clean. Well secured. It’s free and safe!

Love wiggly field. We take our pup there all the time and they love running around and playing with the other dogs. It’s right by the El line too, which might seem like a downside, but it actually helps a lot to socialize dogs and young pups with loud noises and distractions. Our dog hated the train before we took them there, now they barely notice as they’re used to ignoring it while playing. Community here is great, everyone is always nice. Just don’t wear white, some dogs like hugs!

I love Wiggly Field. It’s so well taken care of. The garbages are regularly emptied, the poop bag dispensers are regularly refilled. The community all pitches in and brings toys and tennis balls to let the dogs share. There’s even a “time out zone” for when your dog needs a separation break, which always comes in handy. I moved to my current apartment in Lakeview so that I would be CLOSE to Wiggly Field, and I’m so glad I did!

The only dog park nearby so you have to go but unfortunately it is filled with many entitled owners who do not have any control whatsoever with their dogs. Most of the dogs are great but some of the dogs have no basic manners training at all and their entitled are standing across the park making no effort to ensure their dog is safe for the public in this public space. Just like with any dog park or public space, everyone should ensure safety by training their dog to do the bare minimum of being recalled and obeying a release command at all times. If a dog has not learned these two simple commands the dog, another dog, or a person can be hurt. If a dog has not learned these two simple commands at least some of the time spent at the park should be devoted to working on these skills to protect the dog and everyone else. The best and safest place for dogs who have not learned these commands is at home in private.

Plenty of room for the pups to stretch their legs. It is all asphalt and gravel though, so it isn’t the easiest on their paws. Dogs still have a great time; they aren’t picky

Worth a stop. It was smaller than expected but it made it cosey.

Initially, my experience at the dog park was good but overtime I began to realize that the majority of the owners have no control over their pet. I’ve been multiple dogfights in multiple insecure dog that shouldn’t be allowed in a dog park relief off please and if instigated multiple fight, including one with my pet, which I had to intervene there is little to no leader ship from actual dog people here I would not recommend this park the owners foster a environment of enabling, unsafe dogs I would not recommend it

So fun. I am here with my friends this is where we have been meeting up during quarantine. We can’t go anywhere so its cool cause there is a dog park so we can look at all the dogs.

A great place for your dog to play with other dogs. The park also provides drinking water for dogs. Thank you volunteers for taking such good care of the park!
