- Reviews:They have 3 fields they rotate through so they all have time to recover. Water fountains available. And a gate “lobby” so it prevents dogs from running straight out of the field when entering or leaving. This is my preferred dog park.By Mel McClure (a month ago)Great little stop for all sizes of dogs! I didn’t notice any public bathrooms, or any shoe scrapers in case you accidentally find a land mine. Overall a nice size area for dogs to roam and play! There are free bags on the outside of the gate for picking up happy little accidents, and trash cans for discarding them.By Katie Schafers (2 months ago)On behalf of Spot. I believe Spot enjoys coming to Meridan Dog Park. He never turns the opportunity to play with other dogs down. Always filled with excitement, leaves very satisfied and exhausted. A big plus. There are 3 fields, two of which remain open while the third stays in rotation (Small breeds weighing below 25lbs are in one, while large breeds 25lbs and above are in the other.) The fields are gated and each have their own drinking station (a dog bowl and two water fountains for adults and children.) There is a gated shower station in the middle accessible from the middle, right and front of the dog park. *During the Winter, the water is turned off.* The shade is limited to the trees surrounding the edges of the dog park, 3 benches to sit from in all gated fields. Each field has it’s own gated enclosures to allow you to unleash your dog before getting into the field. There are potty bag receptacles at each entrance as well as three trash bins. The unfortunate thing is they are only at the entrances so it’s best to grab a few to be prepared when your dog does the deed. Busy times are mornings between 6-12 and evenings 5-9, typically during the week. Weekends can differ. Weather/Temperature greatly impacts these time frames. I’m usually part of the morning crew. Dog owners are friendly like their counterpart 4 legged bestfriends. I’m usually having a conversation with one of them or a group of them. Dogs seem to enjoy themselves or when the crowd is light dog owners attend to their buddies. Great people to meet and chat with. The upkeep at this park is prettt good. They mow it, empty the trash, clean up around the place. Parking is limited to about 10 regular spots and two handicap. **The following may be an issue if your dog likes to get dirty, but with proper supervision, you can limit the possibility of your dog getting dirty.** The downside to this Dog Park is, there are a couple muddy areas in each field. The left field has two large muddy areas, by the drinking fountain and under the trees in the far left backside of the field. Two smaller muddy areas in the underside and behind the benches halfway on the sides of the left field. The middle field has one large muddy area by the drinking fountain. One small patch halfway towards the right side and two under and behind the benches. The right field has one large muddy area around the bench on the left side of the right field. This is the optimal preferred field by most dog owners. All in all, I believe Spot rates the Meridan Dog Park 4 out of 4 paws with a spontaneous wagging of his tail. *Nitpicking* There could be more shade(awnings or covered benches), more potty bag receptacles and trash bins throughout the Dog Park so it’s not a long walk to the front of the Dog Park. More parking surrounding the fields. The muddy areas (by the drinking stations) to be covered more permanently than temporarily. Last words, Spot & I, look forward to our next visit. Wonderful people and adorable dogs. 👍By Aurelio Arroyo (4 years ago)We have bringing our dog here for about 5 years now!! Friendly dogs most of the time, clean playing area! They do have separate fenced in areas for small and large dogs but you can bring the small ones in the large area. Great place to go I highly recommendBy Kirsten Mieth-Overton (5 months ago)It’s literally just fenced in grass. There isn’t anything for the dogs to run up on or play around and there’s only one bench for the owners to hang out on while their dogs walk around the enclosure. It doesn’t take very much to make a dog park nice so I hope this park will be improved upon, but unless it is I will be taking my dogs for more stimulating outings elsewhere.By Marianna Taschinger (10 months ago)

- Reviews:Well fenced in area that is mowed for dogs to run off leash in. There are two separate areas, one for small dogs and one big. Courtesy poop bags are provided and there is a working water fountain with dog bowls under it. There are a few obstacles for dogs to run through and jump on. One thing we enjoyed was that there were a few benches under a tree to sit at while the dog played. This dog park was really clean and seemed like a safe place for our new pup to play; it met our needs of off leash exercise and play.By Sara Nold (a year ago)Small dog side is very small now since the tornado ruined the other one. They continued disc golf over there now and made a super small space for the small dogs. Not really worth the drive now, but it’s a decent place and nice big area for the big dogs.By Angel Berry (3 weeks ago)A large fenced in area for your for babies to run around in. Plenty of stones and fell trees for your dog to climb upon along with a very appealing and stable stone pyramid. They have a water fountain for humans and pups There is a decent amount of tree shaded picnic benches, but it would be nice if there were some more benches along the perimeter.By Jason Pizza (4 years ago)Fantastic newly renovated dog park with separate small and large dog sectionsBy Капитан Мусор (2 months ago)Very nice dog park. People always friendly. Water fountain & waste baggies available. Shade & picnic tables in both parks. Fun obstacles for dogs to climb & explore. Two dog parks- I have heard 1 is for larger breeds & 1 for smaller. Most of the time, as long as you & your pet are comfortable, people with all sized dogs congregate at the larger park. I have been told if your dog has issues or is compromised in some way then the smaller, usually empty dog park, is a safer place for them. ( healing from an injury/in heat/does not get along with other people or dogs/you have little kiddos with you etc) Our only complaint is unavoidable- it gets pretty muddy after a rainy day.By Jane Schulte (2 years ago)

Chapin Park is a nice park. Wide open. Not alot of trees. It has restrooms, playgrounds, a off leash dog park and RC aircraft field. Great place for kite flying too.
When I was there they were having a kite festival.
Great park, lots to do, I especially like the dog park, the hiking trails and the Radio Control flying field
This is a great local dog park to take the fur babies!
There is a section for smaller dogs and a section for bigger dogs. Even though our pom pom thinks he’s big enough to run with the big dogs, he’s got plenty of area to run with his sister and play with the bigger dogs along the fence that divides them.
It’s very clean, there’s doggie bags to keep it clean, plenty of space to exercise both your pup and yourself.
Can make good conversations with other pup parents and make friends!
Definitely a place I’ll bring my fur babies when we’re in town with down time.
First time at dog park and it was an awesome experience for both of us! Made new friends and can’t wait to go back and visit with doggy buddies!
Nice big dog park for both the big dogs side and small dog side with water fountains for the pups. Often windy and as with most dog parks, not everyone picks up after their pup, but it’s on the river delta so you can even do a bit of hiking and take your dogs down to swim.
