I had a tire repair done by A1 in May. When I went to switch to winters in October I noticed there was one wheel weight on the wheel they repaired, the other’s had been removed. I looked at the remaining three wheels and they had at least 5 weights. I assumed A1 had screwed up. After taking the single wheel in I was shown that it was indeed balanced. - Reviews:Went there to change out my winter tires on my truck, called in to book an appointment with them Friday at 2:30pm. When I had called I asked if they had Firestone destination M/T 2 tires and they said yes and we can get those tires on your truck for you. So I show up wait maybe about an hour and they say they are done. I go outside to look at the tire and it’s not the M/T 2 tires but the Firestone destination A/T 2 tires. I said those aren’t the tires I asked for, they said yes it is you asked for the Firestone destination tires. I responded back saying yes I did want the Firestone destination tires but in the M/T 2 tires not the A/T 2 tires. And they told me they can buy them back but at $600 when the total price was about $1800+ all together. Doesn’t sound right having to pay for someone’s mistake, I hope this can be rectified as I had no choice but to pay for the tire and head home to my family. I replaced 2 in the fall and recently decided to change the other 2. They were able to track down matching tires and even get me in sooner than expected. Tire rotation was free because I bought my tires there. 2 tires took a little longer than an hour and everyone was super at assuring what I wanted done (rotating the new rears to the front) and checking the wear on my brakes when the wheels were off. Another quintessential Canadian Tire store where it takes an enormous amount of time to find what you’re looking for unless you ask, and oftentimes a sales associate doesn’t even know where things are.
We came in looking for a sliding drawer organizer. We spent the first 10 min looking for the right section and someone to point us in the right direction. When we finally managed to speak to a sales associate he confirmed roughly 5 min later the store doesn’t carry it.
We also were shopping for stools (high chairs). Most of them were locked and we couldn’t even pull them out to try sitting on. Some were even placed way up on the shelves.
Also we found it ironic that walkers which are supposed to be readily accessible are very highly unreachable lol. Not that we need it but imagine an elderly person coming in to check these things out, it would take like an hour to get help and try a few products in this chaotic, poorly organized, understaffed environment.
Just went to Canadian Tire to do some shopping around 7pm. When I parked in the parking lot I noticed one of my tires had a bad air leak. I went in to do my shopping and went and inquired at the automotive counter about my tire. The person working the counter said that there was nothing they could do to help me and that I was all on my own. I then spent the next half hour in the parking lot changing my own spare tire. This action has me never coming back to Canadian Tire for any thing and will tell others of my poor experience there.
Huge collection and a great variety of items. I purchased winter tyres, a portable jump starter, a portable air conditioner and many other things from here. If you have their app installed, it will be easier to find products in-store. The prices are always high but competitive. I was amazed to see a collection of items for outdoor picnics, camping, cycling, kayaking and all you need.
I’ve been a west side Canadian Tire customer for years, due to the lack of enthusiasm, lack of stock, not having a clue where anything is we have been going to the Preston crossing for about a year now. Great selection, if it states in stock it’s there! Most of all though one employee, Danielle at customer service has been very helpful and so friendly and polite! She makes the trip across the city worth while. Again today we couldn’t locate a bike we wanted, within minutes she located it, and made the sale easy and pain free!
I like the fact that I can navigate myself through the store easily. Clearly marked and numbered aisles. The Canadian Tire’s website shows exactly what’s in stock and where to find them in the store. I found good deals sometimes just wandering around
