  1. Great place to take your pups to the beach! Fenced in! Picnic tables. Water fountain. Bathing area. Lots of fun! But on the day we went, there was a stingray carcass on the beach, like someone caught & skinned it & then left the rest there! Not this places fault, so still gets 5 stars, but people should be more considerate when using these places, especially since it’s a place for dogs!

  2. This place is really cool. There is a lot of space for dogs to run around, and a gated area for dogs to play on the beach. Picnic tables under trees, for a nice shady area. There are doggie depots throughout the park. Its located to the left of the boat ramp. My dog loves this place!

  3. Great little off the leash dog beach. It’s right next to the boat ramp and is fenced in. There are lots of picnic pavilions on the rest of the island and some other beach accesses, but the dog beach is the only one dogs are allowed on. The dogs we met were all friendly and very playful! They also have a place to hose off your little buddy, and a watering hole that can be activated with your foot.

  4. Came from Central FL to give it a try, we came during a early weekday so I did not expect anyone to be here. The surrounding area is very industrial and the closest place to find food is about 10 mins away so bring food with you if you plan on staying a while. The dog area is a decent size with about 5 tables overall and minimal shading. But nice location to let dogs be free without a leash.

  5. Awesome dog beach! Fully fenced, clean water for drinking and rinsing, and a double-gated entry. More big dogs than small dogs, but everyone had plenty of space to run and if you want some distance you can just walk further down. We will definitely come again!

Moving to Tampa soon. Needed to find a great park to take my dogs once we get here. This is it!

Clean Park, quick response to maintenance issues when they happen. The maintenance people tend to leave the maintenance gates too loose, and dogs have gotten out so just a heads up! Rainy season tends to collect some muddy water in one area, so if your doggo likes to dive in the mud, it could be a bonus or a negative 😀

It’s very shaded. Perfect for walk, excercise, picnic, bring 🐕 dog. It’s nice park by the river.

Great place for the doggies to run around and enjoy the fun! There are plenty of bag stations to help keep the mess cleaned up and there are water fountains for the dogs and humans. Everyone who comes here seems to be friendly with well-behaved dogs. There are also agility apparatuses for your dogs who are into that!

Our go to dog park. There’s always many people bringing their dogs here, and we’ve only encountered 1 semi-aggressive dog. Everyone is pretty chill. Bonus points for it being under an overpass which provides shelter from the hot sun and rain.

Although I don’t have a dog, my friends do so I like do my research. This is a spacious spot with astroturf and different obstacles for the dogs to run free under the Selmon overpass. The biggest challenge appears to be parking, but likely most people are in the condos nearby walking their pups so no need for them to park. #AmbassadorBarb noted the cool Tampa mural and caught the dusk colors under the overpass. And there is a beautiful memorial for Deputy Kotfila in honor of his service.

This is our favorite dog park to visit! Most of the time it stays pretty busy but there’s plenty of seating. It’s very spacious and the big plus side is it’s a covered park so if it’s raining out you can still bring your pup! My one and only complaint would be I wish they had on site bathrooms.

This dog park is disgusting. It’s a nice area but the people that come here have no respect about keeping the area clean. I understand the employees that come to pick up the trash and replace the doggie bags it’s not they were responsibility but at least come once a week the handle this mess

Great place weekend mornings or during any rainstorm. Wish folks were more mindful of their dogs waste. It’s disgusting to have an animal companion but to not pick up after them. Don’t be the problem.
