- Reviews:3.26.22 Lots of free parking. Some parts of the Riverwalk were flooded on the 3.4-mile paved trail we wanted to do from Riverside Park to Charter Oak. So had to move car once. Otherwise it was absolutely wonderful as we had a perfect spring day. The trees are starting to bud. The park and walk were not busy at all.By Margaret Honan (a year ago)Good place, good maintenance. Rangers were friendly and helping us out and ensured no issues. Please DON’T bring Propane-based Gas grills. They’re NOT allowed.By Thambi Thurai (8 months ago)Beautiful river and river islands. Ps they really do up Halloween 🎃By Sharon Marcantonio (a year ago)This park is exquisite! The ambiance is very peaceful. The rose garden is gorgeous and has a great variety of styles and colors. You can enjoy several activities while spending a day in the park from jogging, picnic, drawing, and even tennis. It’s the perfect place to have a quiet and amazing day. I recommend this place 100%By Rebeca Roman (a year ago)We go at least twice a year and always have a wonderful time taking photos and walking around the park. Always find friendly folks that offer to take photos for us since it’s just my husband and myself. This yr with the covid we’ve been taking them ourselves though but still just as great. All areas of the park are beautiful to us.By Joyce Quintero (2 years ago)The Spring flowers are blooming. Beautiful display of Tulips. Because there’s nowhere to be covering from rainy days or snowy days when you going to pick up your kids from the school bus and we get sick all the time that we get rained on or the weather’s bad
It’s always a nice place to be.
For a walk, or to watch the wildlife in pope park.
Lush, green, lots of space, fun. Kids qqqqlove to run and play on the grass and playground. I love the pool in the summer. Just a great place to hang out in Hartford.
