  1. My dog is a funny little guy, not so sure he wants to be friends with other dogs. He’s really starting to come around since we’ve been taking him here! Thank you for a place for him to meet other pups and mingle! And we have fun too!

  2. IMPORTANT CHANGES
Sadly this dog park @ Riverscape is closed now.
The replacement dog park is located at Triangle Park. Believe it is called:
Friends of Deeds Point Dog Park.
    2600 Ridge Ave. Dayton Ohio.
    New Triangle Park Dog Park
Very large 4x to 6x larger
    Shaded
Separate areas for lg & sm dogs
Water fountain for dogs & people
    Restroom facilities near
    (closed when we visited)
    Seasonal kiddie pool
    Some negatives
    Further away (for us)
    Bug spray helps.
All in all a huge improvement over the previous park. Just miss the convenience of the old commute. It is the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5.

  3. Beautiful fenced dog park, it just opened this month. There’s a water fountain and bathrooms but I don’t know if they’re open yet.
I love that there’s a section for small dogs and next to it a section for big dogs.
I also love that there are many trees because it’s nice and shady so it’s wonderful to visit, even if it’s hot outside, the shade makes it enjoyable.
There was a comfortable wooden chair that I used and someone told me benches are on order and should be available soon.
I was only in the small dog section.
My dog really loved it. I recommend it very much.

  4. This is hands-down the best dog park I have been to. It is large and shaded with plenty of room to run. There is a large and small dog area separated for safety. There are plenty of seating areas and a shelter. There are water fountains and restrooms. What sets it apart from other parks is the board that takes care of it. It is rare to go there in the afternoon and not see board members watching over the park. I have never seen a more dedicated group of people to making a Park safe and happy for our pets.

  5. Hands down the best dog park I’ve been to. It’s enormous with plenty of running space on the small and large dog sides. Lots of trees and shelters make it ideal on a sunny day. There’s plenty of water for dogs and humans, trash cans, bags for cleanup, and parking. There’s a paved walkway and a gravel one. Lots of picnic tables, benches, and even some Adirondack chairs. So we’ll done. How I wish I lived closer!

This dog park is great! My rowdy german shepherd has made the best of friends. The park is clean and well maintained, you can separate small and large dogs. In the summer they even put out a kiddie pool for the pups to splash in! 10/10 !

💕This is a great dog park for smallish to medium dogs or older dogs who want to run shorter distances.💕 Of the three dog parks near Dayton (Creager, Deeds, and the Bark Park), this one I feel is best for *small-to-medium* dogs. However, this is the best dog park in if your dog is new or may need socializing in a more contained area. We love taking dogs who may be more nervous to this park. The size allows them to run, but keeps them within a reasonable distance in case something goes wrong. Medium dogs to smaller dogs may even enjoy being on the smaller side when no other dogs are there. The only downside for me is you cannot see your car from the park. If you have a larger breed who likes to run, I would check out Deeds Dog Park.

I’d like to give this park a higher rating because most of the people and dogs that frequent it are great, but lately, within the last few months, a man has been bringing aggressive dogs without licenses that have started fights every single time he’s been there. Some of the fights have ended with his own or other dogs injured. The police have been called on him twice and he still returns with seemingly no consequences. He sometimes tries to separate his dogs by putting one on the small dog side while he stays in the large dog area with another, leaving the one on the small side unsupervised and with dogs much smaller than it (it is well over the 25lbs weight limit for that side). Other issues include the water for the dogs on the large dog side being broken for near on six months at this point. It went from leaking for days and flooding the place, to being shut off for over a month for repairs, to a trickle if you lift the handle for about a minute or so. As of the writing of this review, it is still not repaired. Again, I really wanted to give this park a higher rating because almost everyone and their dogs are wonderful and it’s a really cute, if small park, with some agility equipment, places to sit, shade, frequent trash pick ups, and usually stocked bags to clean up after your dogs with, but the city of Oakwood needs to get it together and address these issues.

A very nice pet Park that is open to everyone, there is no cost, and is open until 9 p.m… The dogs are as friendly as the owners. It’s the largest dog park that I have seen, with small and large dog areas. Pet cleanup station is available along with water access for the dogs.

A very nice dog park with a separate section for large dogs. It is atop a hill but there is a switchback sidewalk that makes it easy for old/small dogs that have trouble with stairs. There is always plenty of parking available.

It’s a decent doggie park with multiple different sections for the dogs to have fun including a large wide open space where my dogs love to run. But just Beware, I saw a large wild grape vine growing on the fence in the big area. Grapes are toxic to dogs! Other than that it has a nice little dirt road trail that runs along the side of the park that the dogs liked as well- not very big and leads to the highway if you keep going straight but you can turn and go down into a valley.

Nice free dog park with 3 separate areas. Chloé had a blast. We normally take the motorcycle when visiting.

Mostly a good park with lots of room for dogs to run. Usually friendly people and well mannered dogs. I am wondering when the other two of the four sections will reopen as the hill with the shaded area is padlocked as of writing this review and I’ve never seen the fourth area open. People are somewhat lax about cleaning up after their dogs so watch your step.

Great place ! My dog had a blast. Wish that other dog owners cleaned up after their dogs a little more – but other than that a fun place – plenty of space and its a quiet area.
