- Reviews:Very nice City of Charleston Park located on Daniel Island. Kid friendly. Pet friendly. Walking trails along the water are nice. Plenty of parking as long as recreational sports are not in session. Highly recommend this park!By Bryan Calhoun (6 months ago)Well maintained trails, dog parks, sports field. I think it takes about 20 mins to walk the whole trail. Enough parking spaceBy Ayaka Eckelberg (a year ago)Great trails, big dog run, and nice (but small) park. The public bathrooms in the rec center were very nice.By Nick Main (7 months ago)Soccer and football field as well as baseball fields. Dog park and walking trails. Newly built rec center.By Bob Brennaman(REALTOR) (a year ago)The dog park here could use several improvements. It’s a start, but still has a long ways to go. Mainly, the park has no water for the small dogs, so you have to bring your own or a bowl to fill from the large dog area. Not sure why someone would create two separate areas for small and large dogs, but think that only large dogs need water. Second, there are no trash cans in the small dog area. Once again, small dogs are similar large dogs, they poop too. It would be nice to be able to throw away the poop without having to go to the large dog area for a trash can. Third, there is no grass in the small dog area. I’ve never been to a dog park that doesn’t have grass. My dog is always a muddy mess after leaving because the park is just dirt/mud and gravel. There’s not even a place to hose him down. Lastly, there is nothing for shade until late afternoon from the highway. This place could really use a few trees or a sun shade of some sort. Besides that, it’s a large fenced in area acceptable for short periods of fetch.By Jacy Drew (4 years ago)

- Reviews:This park is great for a day out with the family. There are plenty of things to do, including a playground, a basketball court, and a small pond. The pond is great for fishing, and there are also benches where you can relax and take in the scenery.By Lantana Recovery Outpatient Rehab (3 months ago)Nice park.jas a walking trial thru it..nice open area to play sports if you wanted to as well.By Shah Hill (a year ago)Small tree lined park. The dog loved it and I then learned it is the site if the old Charleston Museum. I’m now googling what happened to it.By Corinne Shea (a year ago)Quiet spot to take a rest on a bench under the shade of a live oak. Great place, lots to do here. The dog park is the best anyone has seen whoever I talked to about it; maybe as big as a football field with a lake for swimming (dogs only). Lots of paved trails with a good portion of them shaded although some of the segments are in full sun. Camp sites are shaded although some better than others. Sites are well spaced although a few are close to each other. Small alligator spotted in one pond!
Large area partially fenced in, partially edged with water. The gator signs are frightening but we saw none during our visit in February. Great space for dogs to run around and play, but not a lot of dogs were there to play on the day we visited. Our dog enjoyed the little paths that weave in and out of the bushes!
We love this dog park! The play area is huge (several acres) and the dogs love playing in the pond! There are picnic tables in the shade. The dogs we’ve met (and most of their parents 😁) are fun and friendly. A couple of times they’ve been out of bags, so be sure to bring your own.
This place is dog park/heaven. So large and very responsible owners. I wish I lived closer….I would bring my dog here everyday. We had a blast!
This is a great place to let your big dog run, fetch and swim. There’s also a separate small dog area but it doesn’t border the lake. Of course it would be great if owners looked at their dog instead of their phones. Another words watch your step! Poop bags and trash cans are located throughout the park. You can also park here and walk your dog on leash for miles. $2 per entry. The CCPR Gold Pass is the best deal. It includes admission to all county parks in Charleston county.
