We were in our accidents in January and didn’t receive our settlements until October. When we did get them they had taken over 50% of our settlements. We both had medicaid yet they sent us to a place for physical therapy that didn’t accept our insurance. We were both 18 and had never had any issues like this so we expected them to actually help. When we got our checks, about $1,000 went to TLC Chiropractic. We got $3,000 and they got almost $5,000. When I told them it was unacceptable, we had agreed on 10%, and we needed to reevaluate, the receptionist said we could dispute it but it would take at least another 4 months. By that point, I was 6 months pregnant and just couldn’t afford to wait any longer. They are crooks and are making a name for themselves with the money of struggling folks.
