Edit: Thanks for the owner getting back to me, however people do not usually have an extra 20 minutes (including me) ontop of the first 20 minutes they spend here to have things washed again.. have a talk with your workers..
-I grew up going here. Years ago my dad used to take his work truck here and they did an incredible job cleaning it every time. I came to get my car cleaned just as they opened so it wasn’t busy. Paid $32 for the VIP. The outside looks good. The inside looks only slightly vacuumed and barely dusted with a dry towel.. Its unfortunate.. I used to love this place and tip generously. I would have rather saved money and done it myself. Hate to leave such a bad review but the workers need to take their job more seriously for how pricey this place is.

I take all my cars there even my Maserati and they do amazing.By James Pullin (2 years ago)Sorry we went…As a thank you to a community volunteer who has given hundreds of hours of her time unselfishly to help students at our school, we had her take her Dodge pickup to Five Min Car Wash detail. We usually use a service on McHenry and always had great results. This time we decided to give Five Min a try as they have done many good washes for us for decades. We also wanted to have breakfast nearby..
It was a mistake, both the volunteer and I got different answers when we each called on the price and scheduling, and these were inconsistent with what we experienced when we arrived. When we dropped off the vehicle, the person behind the counter had didn’t seem to understand the pricing or how to input the data to make the sale. She had to be told what the price was which she scribbled on a piece of paper. The funny thing was, she claimed to be the manager and didn’t know the system. (Interesting combination, but this is Modesto after-all). We had been told $150 by one person, when we got there it was $175 (we were only asking for a carpet cleaning). Also, we were told that if we dropped the vehicle off the night before that it would be done “first thing” the next morning and that it only took about 5 hours. When we called around 3:30 to come and pick it up, the person who answered said it wasn’t done and after spending several minutes on hold and listening to explanations/excuses saying that there was some information missing (mind you they had enough information to charge the card the night before and take in the vehicle). Finally, they said it wouldn’t be ready until 5 pm (we had an event we needed to be at by 4:00 and counted on Five Min having their part done before that as promised) so we could go from one to the other.
Then, when we picked it up the next day, the carpets looked great. The wash we didn’t ask for was inconsistent at best. See pictures. The bed and running boards were partially done. The whole experience left us knowing that we will keep on with our McHenry merchant for detailing in the future.

I went today for a full service wash. I am ultimately disappointed with how the inside of my car was (not) cleaned. It’s unacceptable! Terrible job folks.
When you pay to have your car washed it should be washed.
I had finish the wash myself. Thank goodness I had micro fiber towels in my trunk.
Wheels were not cleaned, car was still dripping with water, I personally had to complete their pathetic attempt at washing and drying my car.
NEVER AGAIN will I waste my money at this place.

There is No place with prices like that with the same gear quality.It’s amazing with this car wash vacumes a little bit of shampoo and water can make a huge difference on your cars carpets and upholstery… you can tell where I hit it and along the ridges of the floor is the original stain.
This car wash has excellent car washing machines great on board staff to wipe down your car.. at the end it almost looks like new.

My only issue is that the first brush on the passenger side does not touch a standard car. If it’s a big truck or SUV, it makes contact but not for standard cars. I paid $55 to have my truck hand washed and did not get what I paid for. I figured hand washing meant cleaning the entire car not true. Windows we’re not cleaned and bugs left on the entire front of my truck. Top and cover of my bed was not cleaned but whipped with a wet towel after and smearing dirt leaving smoggy marks of dirt.
The Young Man did a wonderful job cleaning in side my auto. He removed most scuff marks on my door panels and made attempt to complete his Job! I have an SUV so he went from one job task to the next. Wish I would have gotten his name. I would love to have this young man to do my auto everytime. I do think they have $$$$ price’s so be prepared for a costly car wash!
I would give this place 5 stars as the hospitality from the gals were excellent yet I only gave 3 stars because the car wash wasn’t worth the amount of money you pay, especially if you paid for the “Gold Wash” which is $34. Add in $.99 if you paying via debit card. In my opinion, you are paying a hefty price for an automatic car wash experience like Mister car wash. The only difference is you are getting your car vacuumed (included), tire dressing applied by hand, and your glass cleaned inside and out I believe. I did not fully look at what the “Gold Wash” entailed and assumed I was getting the interior dressed but that wasn’t the case. If I’m not mistaken, I think I saw an add-on for interior cleaning/dressing but don’t quote me on that. All in all the car wash so so, I’ve definitely had a better experience at other full service car washes however the prices were definitely much higher. If I might’ve paid the higher price tag for the higher tiered wash, could I have had a “cleaner” car, maybe or maybe not. I don’t think I’ll ever be in the area again to get another car wash from here as it is out of my way so as they say you win some, you lose some. Chalk it up to experience I suppose.
My car was brought through the wash and sat until dry. Then a guy comes to clean the interior and takes 20 more minutes for clean. Once he was done I noticed he only cleaned througly on the side I could see and driver side door int. Interior and trunk were still left dirty with what looked like a dry wipe down of everything. They also cracked one of my hubcaps. Will not be going back.
It’s a nice place to get a car wash.. but the people are crazy may my battery go down and leave my car on neutral wash and clean time. When called the incharge, he told me my battery is down. Very unprofessional service. You can’t say or tell him. The guy in incharge has a bit of attitude 🙄.
