- Reviews:I went to esso gas station for the first time and I was not sure in selecting option and by mistake I have selected wrong option with car wash. When I contacted the store member they refused to refund my money back as their manager said them not to refund anything. They said me to contact them by phone and talk with the store manager to refund my money when I contacted him they said I have to go in-person as they can’t help me on phone although the employee has asked me to do so and now he is refusing to give my money back as I am unable to go their as I am staying in different city and it’s not possible and viable for me to go their just for small amount of money. I was said by the employee that their manager strictly said them not give any customers their money back or else he will deduct from their salary. It is very obvious that it was my first and last time using any of the esso branch and I will not use any of the services as well as I will suggest other not to use the services as well. I just want my money back as they are forcing the customer to pay for the services in which they are beneficial in terms of money.By Rudra patel (4 months ago)Tim Hortons at this location is run by a bunch of lovely ladies. Esso store snacks and drinks are overpriced, gas nozzles don’t lock on so you have to stand there and grasp a dirty nozzle in freezing temps, car wash is getting a little worn out and ineffective compared to the car wash at the Esso just up the road on Silver Creek. Typically clean, usually busy. Owners could invest in a car wash upgrade.By Matt Wright (4 months ago)Great location, one of the earlier stations to drop their gas prices so they got my fill-up business, big store with good selection, clean, well stocked. pumps worked well, clean fluid for windows and lots of space to move the car around…so this is a nice gas station in Guelph. This place is also good to stop and pick up food and beverage. Good selection and staff are efficient.By KH (a year ago)So in order to get the washroom keys, I had to stand in the line which easily was 5 minutes long. Thankfully the guys let me cut through to get keys, albeit the gas station employee working on Tuesday evening post 6 pm, found it problematic and embarrassed me in front of 7 other customers. I wish your employees had the same nerve to uphold the standards of helping customers, rather than being too irked with customer on a busy evening and ultimately insulting them. After the wash due to the water and cold, I needed to use the washroom urgently. I requested the cashier to show me the washroom and he refused that it is not allowed to be used by the customers as instructed by the owner of the store. Inspiteof my repeated request that its an urgent call of nature he refused. Is it not that convenient stores at petrol pumps are for the convenience of the paying customers? $15 a month, buys unlimited car wash at Valet carwash in 2 locations at Guelph, I spent a month of amount on one wash to support local business inspire of options. Either the soap doesn’t come out of the brushes or the water doesn’t even work! Sometimes the bays don’t drain the water. His answer: No public washroom! There’s polite, neutral, rude and obnoxious spectrum. This guy was obnoxious. I think the guy is the owner and if so, there’s not much hope for this place to improve. Maybe they have some pleasant staff here but I’m not going back to find out. No wonder they are never busy around here. I guess he didn’t think I looked like a customer and so was not worth being courteous. I changed my mind and did not buy anything after all. The pumps are clean and there are clean fluids and paper towels. Plenty of space to move around so it’s quite a pleasant place. Their gas prices seems to be usually about 1-2 cents below than everybody else. With gas prices this high, that makes a difference to me.
The store is nice and clean, spacious and nicely laid out. The staff are very friendly so it was a pleasant experience. The bathroom is very clean which usually indicates how much the owner and employees care for the place.
Just a nice place to get gas and some snacks.
I’m a student, and I go here a lot with my friends, since it’s close to me. Great service, great employees, easy to find things, just great in general. Staff are also great, sometimes there can be the odd employee that’s sometimes rude but for the most part everyone is friendly. Also they have Froster and Polar Pop machines so that’s great.
Only thing I have to complain about is the “Tim Hortons” advertised. This “Tim Hortons” is really just a self serve bar containing 2 coffee pots and a sugar machine. Also, it’s almost always out of order.
I stopped here pretty late at night on my way back into town, gas was a decent price compared to other gas stations in the area. I had to pee really badly, they didn’t badger me about buying something to use the bathroom but maybe because I had gotten gas already. The bathrooms weren’t terrible in terms of cleanliness, but there was not a scrap of toilet paper anywhere. No paper towel, nothing. I was lucky I keep tissue in my purse. I let the guy behind the counter know, he nodded and said thanks but didn’t seem inclined to listen to what I was saying or to go replace the toilet paper. It’s really not a big thing, maybe it’s because I was having a bad day and would have had to leave with damp pants. But it really irritated me.

Always friendly greeting when you enter the store for gas or a coffee at Tim’s… definitely not crowded, but usually have all the regular gas station conveniences… quick service as well.
