  1. My partner and I are visiting from out of state. As soon as we arrived at where we were staying here, I noticed my car smoking. My friend recommended these guys, so I gave them a call. They said I could bring it down that day for an inspection. They texted me preliminary inspection results shortly after and let me know that one of my front drive shaft boots was torn and threw grease all over the undercarriage causing the smoke and that the outer boot was starting to open up as well. They were able to do the needed work and have me on my way before closing the following day!

They basically saved our trip and were awesome to deal with! They also gave some great recommendations, with photos, for preventive maintenance to do once we get back home.

  2. I’ve been to Steve’s 2 times in the past 6 years and both times I’ve had a great experience. The first time they towed my car and we’re great to work with. The second and most recent time they did a ton of things for my car and had to keep it for two days. They ubered me home and back and then when they decided they needed to keep my car for a few days they gave me a car to use for the couple days. I will continue to come back for my regular maintenance.

  3. I had the distinction of spending an entire Wednesday in the waiting room with my dog. My van, which I live in, was having some issues and they were incredibly accommodating about my situation. Excellent communication, I was kept in the loop at every step. I also greatly appreciated the free 40 (or 50?)-point inspection at the end so that I know what I need to watch out for in the near future. Would recommend and use again!

  4. I recently went into Steve’s thinking I had an issue with my transmission after getting some grinding sounds from my car and it being unable to move. They were able to get me in the same day and diagnose the issue and have it repaired quickly. It turned out to be an issue with my axle thankfully, but they were quick and also provided me with some guidance on maintenance I’ll need in the near future.
I worked with Toby when calling it and he was friendly in giving me updates and I felt he genuinely cared about the issues I was having with my car.
Steve’s has a solid, honest team that I’ll be back to look at any future issues or maintenance and I’d gladly recommend them to anyone.

  5. Steve’s Automotive was a delight to use for my Land Rover this past week. I was having some issues inside the front housing and after dropping it off was greeted with kind phone calls and updated texts with photos and explanations on what was being worked on and over seen. Was incredibly user friendly and thoughtful, didn’t feel stressed at all having the work done here. I’ll be visiting them again in the near future!

I decided to take my car to Steve’s Automotive after using Costco’s automotive repair plan. The plan offers a 15% discount a select businesses who agree to prove themselves trustworthy.

This sounded good to me. Yet I was still skeptical. I had tried out the Costco discount because I had taken my car to 3 other shops. Each diagnosing my 2003 Toyota Camry with $170K miles various repairs needed. (hum…I have had this car inspected every 6 months I thought hum….). A car I have owned since the odometer reading was 28 miles. I have babied this car and knew there was no way everything these jokers were saying was wrong with my car couldn’t possibly be wrong.
It is scary to take your car to a shop not knowing if they are going to recommend repairs that are not needed. Or replace your good parts with parts from another car and putting your parts onto something else or resell parts the parts. I really hate is when I pay about $1000 for a repair that in no way fixes the problem and as drive away from the repair shop you notice an even greater issues have arisen.
After 3 other shops, I tried out Steve’s because it is Gephardt approved and it was part of the Costco automobile repair program. I hoped that those two facts would pay off. It paid off. They saved me a lot of money by not charging me for a repair I didn’t need. Thanks Guys!
Oh, about the shop and the personnel. All the men I worked with from Steve’s Auto were professional, yet relaxed and very happy in their jobs. You could tell this was a fun place to work. The men were also good sports and allowed me to take some pictures of them. The shop was clean and the desks were neat and organized. There weren’t handprints from used oil on any of the walls or doors. It also didn’t have that repair shop smell.
They also set up uber drivers to take me to and from any location I requested free of charge. That is great because this was the first time, I used uber. Not a bad service but remember to tip.
This is Steve’s Automotive is good in my book. I’ll take my car back as needed.

I give it only 2 stars for this service. In the past I have used them many times and would rate it 5 stars. They seemed through and honest except when I finally picked up my car after 3 weeks in the shop. They did give me a loaner car for that length of time which I appreciated. When I did pick up the car, the cashier at the front assured me that he had a senior service guy drive it around beyond a simple test drive to assure everything was fine. He said it drives like a dream. Well, as soon as I pulled out of the parking space and turned the wheel I heard a noise. As I turned around to drive it back into the space the noise what appeared to be from the steering wheel continued. When I returned to the front desk guy and began to tell him of the noise, a service guy standing next to him told me it didn’t make that noise in the shop. My reply “it didn’t make that noise when I brought it on 3 weeks ago.” I was very very angry! They did immediately look at it and determined it was a faulty new part they put on and will order a new one. He assured me I could drive it now with no harm to the car. They will call me when they get this part in and ready to replace
I do expect that it will be done the same day I bring it in and it will be soon. In my opinion Steve’s Automotive should fire the service tech who lied to the front desk guy.

I want to give 2 stars but in all fairness the customer service portion of the experience was fine, but I’m bothered by the work that was performed. Their pre check report that includes screenshots and descriptions was kind of cool, especially for someone who isn’t mechanically inclined, but I also feel like it’s used to justify them needing to perform additional services on the vehicle.

I brought my vehicle in only expecting a brake job. Because I’m not mechanically inclined they sold me on turning my rotors and new pads. New pads, understandable, but turning my rotors was a bad move, apparently.

My brakes have been pulsing ever since like week 3 after the service. Still pulsing 5 months later. As a result of the pulsing I’ve contacted other mechanics and every single one of them told me turning my rotors is a waste of money.

This same shop told me I needed a new water pump, among other things. I’ve had other mechanics check it out and they didn’t come to the same conclusion.

Full transparency, I did not contact this shop to see what could be done with my situation, because I’m not confident in their work so why let them touch the truck again. Pricing for brake job was competitive with other shops – another reason for 3 stars instead of 2. Wasn’t treated poorly nor were they rude to me, another reason for my rating justification.

I had to have the Electronic Throttle Control and intake gasket replaced. I personally think the price was little high but I haven’t had my vehicle worked on by a shop before. I do fell that Shane and the technician were extremely good and helpful in getting the work done. I would definitely use there services again.

This place is very dishonest. I brought my car in for a “free” diagnostic test and they called me and said that they needed to do further testing which will be $199. I told them no and when I got my email explaining the repairs I needed done on my car (my car is worth maybe $3000) it was almost $6000. I took my car to another mechanic and they confirmed that the work they said needed to be done was not true. I only had $300 worth of repairs needed. Pretty bad business practice on Steve’s Automotive. Don’t waste your time and money here.

Edited to add- I did however get my oil changed by them and just recently was having very odd sounds coming from my engine. I took my car in to my mechanic and he said that Steve’s never hooked up my hoses to the engine after the oil change. Can’t even do that right!!

Honest and very good people. They have always been good with all my auto repairs. They research to find the best part price and only doing what is necessary. Never feel like any upselling. Have had several vehicles in there shop over the years and always pleased with their service.

I feel like they do great work at a great price. I’ve exclusively taken my car to them since I’ve moved into the area and will continue to do so. The staff is always nice when I interact with them and they are honest and quick with their timeline for repairs. Definitely recommend them.

My husband took our car in for a simple oil change. The thorough review and pictures we received of the car diagnostics was highly impressive. The person helping my husband never even made him feel pressured to complete any of the other issues they found which is absolutely amazing & they gave perfect recommendations as well. This allows me to fully trust this establishment and this is the ONLY place I will be going & promoting to everyone I know!!

I would highly recommend this shop for anyone looking to get work done on their vehicle. I have gone to this shop on several different occasions to have work done on my 2016 Toyota Tundra. I’ve always been treated with the best customer service during each visit. They have definitely earned my trust and business.
