By Bobby Jones (4 months ago)After my wife was taken advantage of by Southlake (Merrillville IN) and Chesterton Nissan when her 2017 Nissan Armada started to shift poorly, we took the truck to Arlington Nissan. After being told we needed a new transmission (this was after spending $5,000 on “fixes” that didn’t repair the problem), we decided not to give them anymore money. Arlington Nissan called me within an hour of dropping it off and said we did not need a new transmission and found a bulletin that explained what was needed and fixed our truck with a simple part replacement. Todays technical vehicles leave you at the mercy of the service garage and to find Arlington Nissan is reputable was amazing. They took care of us and communicated well from start to finish. John was the best to work with and I told him, After Chesterton and Southlake had done us dirty, I swore I would never buy a Nissan, but my experience with Arlington changed that. Felt cheated because I got charged for a diagnostic test that I already knew the problem I had. I’m under 3 years but over the 36k. If my rep would have told me that I was over that warranty due to miles from the start, I would have never ran the diagnostic or even been to the dealer. Great experience. Derryl checked me in quickly and was very welcoming. My service did not take long at all and I was able to wait in a very comfortable waiting area while they were completing the service. I needed a new service shop, and because of the great service that I received on Saturday, I will definitely be using this shop again.
I went for an oil change as this was my first time as a new car owner. Tyler Roberson was very helpful, answered all my questions, made me understand the importance of tire rotations, etc. As a new owner, it’s important for me to understand how to keep my vehicle running good and Tyler was very helpful in that process. I want to give 5 stars, but I can’t. Wait time was a little longer than expected and they no longer accept competitor’s coupons, I’m not sure if this is a Nissan policy or site wise policy. The service manager that assisted me was great. I typically only like to work with Tory as I’ve know him since my first Nissan Years ago. Well my car still have the light on I told them somebody already clean the part out before and light still on but after they charge me 653 just to tell I’m going how get another part and paid almost same amount they just got me for my money just to cleaning out the part now I need a hold new part and my light never when off
Purchased vehicle 3.5 years ago and realized that key inside of fob does not open my car door. Had to get new key. Took 3 months to get correct key. Frank in service was very nice and forthcoming about the delay. I appreciate the honesty. Sincerely.
