- Reviews:This park is one of my favorite places on the island. The scenery is picturesque. There are wild turkeys at times that can cause traffic jams on forest ave, believe it or not. Standing in the center of the bridge, which is located in the middle of the man made lake, allows you to really get the scope of the beauty that is Silver lakes park. If you visit in the spring, the lake is surrounded by cherry blossoms that radiate with a pink and white glow. In the autumn the trees in the park appear to be on fire. Vibrant colors of orange, red, and yellow cover the branches. The lake at the center of the park is filled with life. Turtles, fish, and water fowl all call the lake home. Occasionally I have seen three large koy fish in the lake. They appear to have metallic scales made of gold and silver. There is a dog park there as well that is frequented by canine moms and dads. There is also a nicely built playground for the little ones. I find this park to be majestic and I have enjoyed it very much.By John B. - Reviews:I lived nearby this park for over 10 years, and it’s the best park in Staten Island IMO. It’s worth the drive to come here from the north shore and even from Brooklyn or central New Jersey. The park has something for just about everyone. There are bbq pits along with a playground, a basketball court, tennis courts, a dog park, and a beach. With that being said, the highlight of the park is its miles of trails. They’re great for trail running or a relaxing walk. Wolfe’s Pond also has outdoor workout equipment- a pullup bar, dip bars, and so on- so you can work out here outside. There’s also a new changing area. The paths were still wet from the winter and spring rains but the scenery was beautiful. You have the trees the greenery the grass and woods and then the view of the water (bay/ocean) looking out to Sandy Hook. Best of both worlds…though prefer sitting on the elevated lawn looking over ‘beach’. Great place for stroll or picnic. The tables go really quickly on the weekends, so get here early. The water has a red soil deposit in it, so you’ll need to wash off after getting out; don’t wear your white/favorite swimwear. The park has a nice walking track,beautiful lake having ducks,Canadian geese, barbeque area and a Carousel. I went my with my wife and felt staying in the park is very pleasant. The restrooms are neat and clean. A very wonderful place to love nature with family and kids.The place has a good playground.
Beautiful place to walk or sit and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Turtles and many species of bird reside here. We saw cranes, cormorants, red winged black birds, geese, and mallards. Pack a lunch and find a bench!
A large park adjacent to CSI campus. If you love the outdoors , there are multiple activities from archery , bbq area , a seasonal kiddie carousel that runs from May-October. Also 4 softball fields as well . Parking lot by fields is rough and bumpy but overall a nice park complete with benches and restrooms.
A beautiful park surrounding a lake with a designated archery area, picnic benches, paved walkways as well as a nature trail. It’s a peaceful place to enjoy a brisk walk or birdwatch. It’s beautiful in every season.
I’ve been to a lot of parks in Staten island 🏝️ but this one has a big pond.🌅 First time I’ve been here with a group of people and just walked around the park for almost 30 minutes. It was pretty nice at first but then my shoes 👟 was ill-equipped for rocks on the ground. It was 10:00 in the morning and not much was opened. but I bet in the summer 🌞 you’re going to have a pretty nice time there. I see a little bit of kids and not a lot of dogs but my experience was pretty interesting 😁. I didn’t see a bathroom there but when I come back, I might want to ask people who work there. 👍🙂
