- Reviews:My dog loves this park. It’s definitely one of the better ones I’ve taken her to. Everyone is so friendly and they actually pay attention to their dog(s)’ behavior, which is great. There are materials provided to clean up after your dog, and the park is very clean as a result. 10/10, would take Mochi again.By Isla Damron (a year ago)Great park. Astroturf, lots of shaded seating, water, poop bags, trash cans in park, tennis balls, aware owners, double gate, free and open to public. Some cons: limited parking, kind of stinky, no separation for large and small dogs. Outer gate 6ft inner gate 4 feet.By c siepser (11 months ago)I’ve lived in Philly for a short period of time in 2020 as an au pair, unfortunately my experience didn’t had a happy ending but I must say that my happier days were in this dog park with my host family’s dog! I used to go there every afternoon, it became my comfort place, and I’ve collected so many good memories! I really hope I can comeback one day 💕By Mariana Evelyn (11 months ago)Excellent, spacious, and clean dog-park. Lots of room for the dogs to run around. Separated from the playgrounds so children aren’t a distraction. The areas at the sides are elevated which gives the dogs something to jump on for a different perspective which is nice.By Steven Battle (7 months ago)Really nice neighborhood dog park. Water hook ups, sanitizer to clean up poop, lots of poop bags and hand sanitizer dispensers. Friendly dog owners as well and lots of seating. It’s not a huge park so can feel a bit crowded at peak hours, but still plenty of room to run.By Meghan Dixon (6 months ago)

- Reviews:Really large area for your dog to really run and play. Has a city supplied dog fresh water watering area, the grass is artificial and really clean. There is also a separate area just as nice for the smaller breeds as well. Also has direct access to the Schuylkill River Trail. Didn’t run into any aggresive dogs and all the dog owners were very nice to talk to. You will find bringing your dog here is a pleasure and like I said the other dog owners are not snobby like you find at smaller parks were they make you feel like you dont belong or need a membership to use those other dog parks which make you feel like an outcast. Best dog park I have been to in the city so far. Highly reccomend this place. Me and Lydia had a blast.By Francis W. Hudman (4 years ago)Super fun dog park. Friendly dogs, friendly owners. Turf park is pretty clean and kiddie pools and fresh water are available. My girl had a fantastic time making new friends.🐕😁By jae meyer (3 years ago)By far the best dog park in the tri-state area. Super clean, friendly, and perfectly situated along the river. They have a small park for small dogs, and a large park for larger dogs. Very nice masonry, and turf for the dogs to run and play on. Water hoses readily available to fill up little dog pools for them to cool down in the summer. Can’t think of any other aspect to improve. Keep it up guys.By Sam (3 years ago)We love visiting Big Dog Run, even though we don’t have a dog! I’m a vet tech and enjoy coming here to watch dogs interact and their different body languages. It is clean and has plenty of room for the dogs to run. There is also a small dog run right next to it. There’s water for your dog to have a drink and in the warmer months there’s a little pool they can cool off in. Right next to a park with basketball courts.By Stephanie Savy (a year ago)By far one of the best dog parks I’ve been to. Large enough for so many dogs, running water. Shade available. Ample seating options for humans. My dog enjoyed this park and the other dogs were very friendly. Overall fairly clean as well. Astroturf is definitely the best option for dog parks. Take your dog and havr a good time. There is also a nice grassy park with benches and lounge chairs right outside the dog runs so you can relax or have a picnic there.By K L (8 months ago)

It’s always a pleasure to be here. Such a calm place on the waterfront. Ice skating during Christmas and New Year holidays is crowded but fun to witness.
And don’t forget the amazing ice creams and hot chocolate from Franklin Fountain!!
The best part of this dog park is the view for dog owners of the Delaware River and the RiverRink skating action. The ground is dirt/mulch and there are no separate sections for small vs. large dogs here. Did not see a poop bag dispenser, any doggie toys or trash can nearby. Our dog ran around for 5 minutes then stood by the gate to leave.
beautiful just beautiful….i always come here if i have the chance and ill just sit here for hours along the delaware river and just take it in……highly recommended if u like peace and quiet….and if u dont mind…bring bread or crackers or something for the geese and seagulls lol💪🏽💯
Giving this 3 stars because of the gravel, which is not a safe choice for rough dog play. But park was empty on a Saturday so I think most dog owners know that. There are trash cans and working water but no poop bags or toys. Fence is about 4.5 feet high. There is an expensive ($20) parking lot next to it and regular paid street parking is a bit of a walk. There are benches and cute trees and it’s nice to be near the water but as a dog park it’s mediocre. There is a super small unlabeled small dog area and large dog area but since they aren’t labeled it defeats the purpose. If they changed it to mulch or turf it would be great here and then there also might be more doggos.
Its very long and narror, almost like a dog run. I reccomend parking in a loading zone spot on Delaware Ave because the only other parking is $20 paid lot next door.
