- Reviews:We stayed at the RV Park for a few days. If you can, arrive in daylight. The sites are in the back of the park after you drive past a bunch of stuff. The office is a large building (for an check in office) on the right shortly after passing the water park. Stop there for a map and instructions. No water or sewer. We had 50 Amp electric. The call it 220 volt, but it is standard RV 50 Amp on two 110 legs. They also call it “full electric” which had me wondering if other places offer partial electric! Metro is just a short drive. Parking garage is a mess! Very confusing. Cost was about 5 bucks for the day. We bought metro cards at the station, but we would still be there trying to figure out the purchase machine if a staff member didn’t feel sorry for the old dummies and push the correct buttons. Next time I would set up my phone to pay at the turnstile since it seems to be set up so you buy you fare ahead of time but you better know where you want to get on and off. We tend to fly by the seat of our pants and thought about changing our departure station, but we were concerned that the system might crash if we did! Back to the RV Park: We would definitely return to explore DC (with more time) next chance we get.By John Steindl (5 months ago)Great park to bring your little ones too. Something for everyone from 4 Basketball courts, swings, slides, walking trails, the war museum, a pavilion you can rent for events, grills for cookouts. Its beautiful! You have to rent the pavilion but its worth it because you get an awesome view of the park so u can chill and watch your kids at the same time.By Chymiere Taylor (4 years ago)I love going to Shakespeare in the park. Must bring your own chairs or blankets but the stage and the lighting is awesome. There is some parking, but on busy nights like this most park along the road. Porto potties were available.By lexi mills (10 months ago)Lovely park with a stage, museum and plenty of great views.By Josh Weber (6 months ago)Beautiful gem in the middle of one of Harrisburg’s historic residential neighborhoods. The amphitheatre makes for a great outdoor venue for community and other events. Lived in Harrisburg my while life and only recently discovered this place!By David (7 months ago)

- Reviews:Great dog park, spacious play area, great seating to relax and converse with others as well. The clean up stations were filled and very helpful and water stations were fantastic. It would be nice if everyone would clean up after their dog but that’s not the case and it’s a real shame because having this park in our community is a great blessing. Other than that, an absolutely great dog park.By Jose Jimenez (7 months ago)We just stopped by to see about our new little one being able to play. Rules state she’s too young and not fixed so we have future plans. This was clearly a self regulated park with tons of activity. Was fun to watch the difference between those who have well behaved dogs and can appreciate rules and those who have NO regard for common decency. Did look like many dogs were having a blast and owners looked like regular. Had a couple chats with fellow puppy owners and got some good leads for being new dog parents. Will be back to enjoy at least the atmosphere but NOT sure I’d be comfortable off leash anytime soon.By Wanderlust (a year ago)Although it was a drive, and a few years too late for our old man, he’s gonna be 15, it was great for our Chloe. Buster enjoyed the shade while Chloe made friends. The park was mostly clean. There are doggie bags to clean up with and scooters but apparently someone forgot they were there. Not the parks fault. I wish lived closer. I’d take them there all the time. Chloe didn’t want to leave, lol.By Shan Jordan (10 months ago)Very fun!!! My girls had so much fun! The only thing is people being there kids and they think the splash pads for them, and people don’t pay attention to there kids, kid kept putting my dog in the pool and splashing her face I had to remove my dog she doesn’t like that!By Karissa Leiphart (10 months ago)Great dog park with plenty of company for our little pup. They have it split wisely into two sections: one for bigger dogs and the other for smaller breeds. If you’re looking for a new dog park, look no further.By Andy Getty (5 months ago)

Beautiful place to hike/walk. Fairly flat so good for pretty much everyone. We went during the fall and it was amazing. Pretty quiet and serene. A lot of side trails to explore! I’d go here again.
Small but very kid friendly! The interactive exhibits were very inviting and appealed to families. Some of the exhibits did not work, one had lights that were out, on others the phones didn’t work. There is a great nature viewing set of windows with binoculars. They overlook bird feeders and a nice area to watch. There was a lot of literature about the area and I was able to pick up a scavenger hunt for my classroom.
It was a gloomy and rainy day but the outside looks very inviting. There is a boardwalk that goes around the property. The gift shop was well stocked and inviting.
Although the bathrooms were accessible and the stalls were big enough for my walker, there were no benches throughout the museum. I had to cut my visit short because aside from the chairs at the bird watching window, there was no where to sit. That was disappointing.
one of the most beautiful places I’ve been too. It gets pretty packed early, so if you want to avoid people, and have more nature, this maybe isn’t for you. But still a great hike and good views.
This is a beautiful park! There is a trail to be found for all abilities. There are multiple bathroom locations. Lots of parking. Most of the trail has shade so it’s perfect for a hot summer day. The staff member at the nature center was very friendly and knowledgeable. If you love walking in nature definitely check this place out! Also everything is free to the public.💕
Lovely park. Well maintained and great trails. The learning and educational center was cool. The man working there was super helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely love to go back.
