- Reviews:I pretty much only use the dog park so that’s what my review is about. Fyi, you have to have a membership to go to the dog park. I believe it’s $40 for one dog and an additional $20 for another one. You also have to agree to the rules which I think are a no brainer: pick up and dispose of your dog’s poo, no children under 12yo, must have rabies vaccine, if you’re dog gets aggressive you have to leave, etc. That’s not to say everyone follows all of them all of the time, but for the most part they do. It’s fairly clean, has a large area, has an adjoining small/timid dog fenced area, there’s a water bowl, waste bags, double gate system, the members are generally nice. Parking usually is easy with a short walk to the dog park except when there are events in the rest of the park like at the skate park or tennis courts.By C Hall (6 months ago)Went there this morning and my dog was attacked. It seems like there is a group of locals who attend this park regularly. They spend more time talking than keeping an eye on their dogs. Next thing I know, their dogs were on top of mine, biting her neck. My poor girl tried so hard to get away but there were to many of them. I had to jump on the dogs and pull them off of her. We did not realize there was a membership until we were already at the gate. No alternatives were nearby, and it ruined the whole experience of the area. No option for a day pass, or even a spot to let the dogs exercise without being “part of the community”. Sorry. Apparently outsiders aren’t good enough for your park. It’s a big dog park with plenty of spaces for big and small dogs to play. There are plenty of dogs to play in the evenings even on weekdays and the place is cleaner than most other dog parks. The only issue comes near the water storage. There’s a water pool for dogs and it gets dirty pretty quick and dogs love to jump in it which makes it hard for parents to wash off the dogs afterwards. That’s why 1 star reduced. Else, no complains
Nice little playground in the middle of the woods. Had to look around for a few minutes before I was even able to FIND it, LoL. It was around 30° but my little guy still had fun on this playground. Very modern equipment and LOTS of variety of ways to climb and play on things. Has a twisty slide, spiderweb rope climbing, abs a curved mountain rock-climbing wall. Of course there’s a small kids playground too for the one-year-olds. Great park! There is also a fenced in dog park here as well!
Park is maintained fairly. There isn’t a lot of grassy area in the small dog side so anytime there is rain it’d be pretty messy. My biggest gripe is that dog owners are pretty disrespectful of the sections of the park. Large dog owners, in my experience, frequently bring their large dogs in the small dog section which is pretty dangerous alone, but they also don’t always monitor them. Just today a large dog went from harassing my small dog to then jumping on my and cutting my hand. This has not been the first time I’ve seen multiple dog owners not watching their pets in the area nor the first time I’ve seen large dogs in the small dog area.
Other than that, it’s a large area so a good amount of space for dogs to run and there are some regulars who are very nice and have very well behaved dogs.
Good park with large reservable shelter, good for group events.
Great park, lots to do, including a wooded area with big logs to build forts and bridges (for bigger kids).
