I recently filed for bankruptcy and going in, I had no idea what to expect. But Adam and his team were very helpful and very professional. Maybe they are better at bankruptcy. I recommend not using them for family law.
They nickel and dime you for everything, for example I provided my only copy of documents and later when I needed copies they turned me away at the office, made me use the web portal to make a request and then charged me for picking up the documents even though I never had contact with an attorney. Tens of thousands of dollars wasted.
They are extremely slow. I still don’t see why it took so long for something that could have been put in front of the judge after 6 months. I sent a message in the portal requesting information. A month and a half later they responded. I strongly suspect this was because I was shopping around for a replacement lawyer and one gave them a heads up.
They ignore you. I have requested the same document filed in court by opposing counsel and they just ignore my repeated requests. For a document I could have been given and they should have placed in the web portal.
Didn’t win a single decision. Courts in KS have no favor for males, but after 7 different judge decisions we should have at least won one.
Not prepared, they didn’t bring up much of what needed to be brought up. I had to bring up topics in court to the judge. I did most of the talking. My ex even testified that what I presented as evidence was correct and we still didn’t get a decision in our favor.
Nice guys, too bad it feels like they have little to no exp in family law.
I called Mack & Associates to handle some probate work when my father passed away. I spoke to the paralegal and was advised 1st appointment was 10 days away. I’m from out of town, but decided that I would take the appointment because I had a lot on my plate and just needed to get this resolved.
I had a 10 am appointment for which the paralegal confirmed the day before. I blocked my calendar because I knew that this time was valuable to both myself and the firm. After 20 min and no call, I emailed the paralegal to see if there was an issue. I didn’t get a response. I then called the firm 90 min later and was told that the attorney can call you in 15 min. After 2 hours, still no call. If Mack & Associates was too busy and didn’t want my business they could have told me from the beginning. Instead, I wasted 10 days waiting to be ignored.
